Astros' Jose Altuve: Exits game early
Altuve left Wednesday's game early after being hit in the elbow by a pitch, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Altuve stayed in the game briefly after being hit by a pitch in the fifth inning, but he was eventually replaced by Mauricio Dubon in the sixth. The Astros will take a look at Altuve's elbow and provide further updates once they receive results. For now, he should be considered day-to-day.

Angels' Michael Stefanic: On bench again
Stefanic is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Stefanic will sit for the third game in a row and appears to have lost out on an everyday role in the middle infield to fellow rookie Livan Soto. The 26-year-old rookie has gotten off to a disappointing start to his big-league career, producing a .459 OPS through his first 57 plate appearances with the Angels.

Guardians' Ernie Clement: Cast off 40-man roster
The Guardians designated Clement for assignment Wednesday.
Clement was moved off the 40-man roster in order for the Guardians to clear up a spot for rookie outfielder Will Brennan, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Columbus. While filling a utility role for Cleveland this season, Clement had seen action in 64 games and produced a .200/.264/.221 slash line over 161 plate appearances.

Arraez isn't starting Wednesday against the Royals.
Arraez is getting a breather after he went 3-for-13 with two RBI, a run and a strikeout over the last three games. Gary Sanchez will rest his legs as the designated hitter and bat cleanup.

White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Pair of steals in loss
Andrus went 2-for-5 with a double, two stolen bases, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-7 extra-innings loss to the Guardians.
Andrus continues to swing a hot bat -- he has multiple hits in 14 of his last 22 contests, going 34-for-94 (.362) in that span. The shortstop has also run wild on the basepaths lately, recording seven steals in his last 10 games. He's up to 15 thefts in 19 tries this year. Andrus has added a steady .258/.315/.411 slash line with 14 home runs, 52 RBI, 62 runs scored and 31 doubles through 135 games between the White Sox and the Athletics.

Guardians' Owen Miller: Picks up second steal
Miller went 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-7 extra-innings win over the White Sox.
Miller had sat out each of the last two games after playing both halves of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Twins. His 10-game hitting streak ended Tuesday, but he was able to get aboard twice with his first multi-walk game since June 26. The infielder is up to a .246/.302/.350 slash line with two steals, five home runs, 48 RBI and 51 runs scored through 123 contests. Still, he's been more of a part-time player in September, with Tyler Freeman seeing more time as a utility infielder lately.

Athletics' Tony Kemp: Bashes three-run homer
Kemp went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 4-1 win against Seattle on Tuesday.
Kemp got to Seattle starter Luis Castillo twice with a single in the third inning and go-ahead three-run home run in the fifth. The impressive performance continues a stellar September for the 30-year-old, who's slashing .321/.387/.571 with three long balls in 15 contests.

Mariners' Adam Frazier: Takes seat Tuesday
Frazier is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the A's.
Frazier started the past seven games and will head to the bench after he posted a .523 OPS during that stretch. Dylan Moore will start at the keystone Tuesday as southpaw JP Sears takes the mound for Oakland.

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Receives injection Tuesday
Rays manager Kevin Cash said that Lowe (back) received an injection Tuesday and will be shut down for the next two days, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Cash also said that if all goes well following the injection, the hope is that Lowe can return before the end of the regular season. Lowe hasn't played since Sept. 11 and is eligible to return from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Misses third straight
Lopez isn't in the starting lineup Tuesday against Minnesota, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Lopez has now missed three consecutive starts in the Royals' infield, sitting each time in favor of rookie Nate Eaton. He appears to have lost hold of his everyday role to Eaton, who will start the game at third base and bat ninth.
