Will Wagner 2B | SD
Blue Jays' Will Wagner: Headed north of border
The Blue Jays acquired Wagner, right-hander Jake Bloss and outfielder Joey Loperfido from the Astros on Monday in exchange for left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The clear No. 3 piece in the return for Toronto, Wagner turned 26 years old Sunday and hasn't yet made his big-league debut. The son of esteemed former MLB closer Billy Wagner, Will is slashing .307/.424/.429 with five home runs and has more walks (54) than strikeouts (33) in 70 games for Triple-A Sugar Land. This season, Wagner has started 33 games at first base, 20 games at second base and eight games at third base. He will need to be added to the 40-man roster this offseason in order to be protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Royals' Adam Frazier: Playing time trending down
Frazier is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.
Frazier finds himself on the bench for the third game in a row and for the second time against a right-hander (Chris Flexen). With Frazier getting on base at just a .167 clip since the All-Star break, his brief run as the Royals' everyday leadoff hitter looks to be over.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Cleared to start Monday
Polanco (knee) will start at second base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Red Sox.
Polanco was lifted late in Sunday's 6-3 win over the White Sox with knee pain, but he apparently won't require a day out of the lineup -- or even a day out of the field -- to shake off the injury. The Mariners will hope that the knee issue won't disrupt Polanco's timing at the plate, as he's been one of the club's most productive hitters thus far in the second. Over his nine games since the All-Star break, Polanco is slashing .286/.342/.686 with four home runs and a stolen base.

Justin Foscue 1B | TEX
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Heads back to minors
The Rangers optioned Foscue to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
Foscue had already been withheld from the lineup in each of the Rangers' last four matchups against right-handed pitching, and his outlook for playing time was only going to worsen with Josh Jung (wrist) returning from the 60-day injured list Monday. As a result, Texas will send the 25-year-old back to Triple-A to receive everyday at-bats. Foscue struggled to produce at the plate during his week-long stint with the big club, going 1-for-17 with a double and seven strikeouts over his five starts as Texas' designated hitter.

Jamie Westbrook 2B | TB
Red Sox's Jamie Westbrook: Back on bench Monday
Westbrook is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Westbrook had occupied the keystone in seven of the Red Sox's last eight games, but his surge in playing time was mostly fueled by Boston facing a schedule that was heavy on left-handed pitching. The 29-year-old still looks to be stuck in the short side of a platoon at second base with David Hamilton, who will cover the position Monday while the Mariners send right-hander Logan Gilbert to the bump.

Connor Norby 2B | MIA
Orioles' Connor Norby: Not in lineup for first game
Norby is not in the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Blue Jays, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
The Orioles will go with Jordan Westburg at second base and Ramon Urias at third in the first game of the twin bill. Norby is likely to find his name on the lineup card for Monday's nightcap.

Willi Castro LF | COL
Twins' Willi Castro: Reaches base four times
Castro went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Tigers.
Castro entered Sunday's contest mired in a 7-for-45 slump but broke out to help spark the Twins offense during their 5-0 win. His slash line now stands at .263/.353/.411 with 24 doubles, five triples, seven homers, 34 RBI, 60 runs and 10 steals in 17 attempts over 425 plate appearances.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Exits early with knee issue
Polanco left Sunday's 6-3 win over the White Sox in the bottom of the seventh inning as a result of knee pain, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Polanco has been dealing with the knee injury for a while according to manager Scott Servais, but the issue isn't considered to be injured-list worthy. The infielder was also removed partially due to Seattle owning a 6-1 lead entering the bottom of the seventh. Polanco can be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener on the road in Boston.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Sitting again Sunday
Gelof is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Gelof has a .579 OPS and 32.1 percent strikeout rate over 73 at-bats in July and will sit Sunday for the second consecutive game. Abraham Toro will receive another start at second base Sunday, while Tyler Nevin makes a start at third.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Royals' Adam Frazier: Sitting Sunday
Frazier is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Cubs.
Frazier is slashing just .146/.205/.220 with one home run, five RBI and a 22.2 percent strikeout rate across 43 plate appearances in July. Salvador Perez will serve as the designated hitter Sunday and bat in the cleanup spot against Cubs right-hander Javier Assad.
