  • Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Swats homer in loss

Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Giants.

Goldschmidt gave the Cardinals their only lead in the game with his sixth-inning blast off Logan Webb. That snapped an 11-game homer drought for Goldschmidt. The first baseman has had an unsteady start to June, but he's still slashing .286/.380/.492 with 11 homers, 30 RBI, 43 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 65 contests.

  • Tigers' Spencer Torkelson: Drives in three runs

Torkelson went 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI in Monday's win over Atlanta.

Torkelson belted a two-run shot in the bottom of the ninth inning before providing the walk-off hit in the 10th. He collected three hits for the third time this season and the first since May 9. Torkelson is now slashing .232/.315/.371 with six homers and 29 RBI through 270 plate appearances on the year. He has four extra-base hits over the last eight games despite going 7-for-32 (.219) in the process.

  • Kody Clemens 1B | MIN

Phillies' Kody Clemens: Absent from lineup

Clemens is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Arizona, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The left-handed hitting Clemens has been playing first base against both righties and lefties lately but will begin this one on the bench versus southpaw Tommy Henry. Alec Bohm will play first base and Edmundo Sosa will handle third.

  • LaMonte Wade LF | HOU

Giants' LaMonte Wade: Out against lefty

Wade is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The lefty-hitting Wade is on the bench for a second straight game while southpaw Matthew Liberatore takes the bump for St. Louis in the series opener. Wilmer Flores will pick up another start at first base in place of Wade.

  • Luke Voit 1B | NYM

Mets' Luke Voit: Gets minors deal from Mets

Voit signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Voit was cut loose by the Brewers earlier this month after putting up a lowly .549 OPS through 74 plate appearances. He will report to Triple-A Syracuse for the time being but could get a look with the Mets before long as they deal with the loss of Pete Alonso (wrist).

  • Ryan O'Hearn RF | PIT

Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Huge game versus Royals

O'Hearn went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and four runs scored in Sunday's 11-3 win over the Royals.

O'Hearn had a career game Sunday, which also featured his fifth multi-hit effort in his last 12 contests. The 29-year-old has found playing time at first base, designated hitter and corner outfield at times this season, and he's hitting well enough to force his way into the lineup versus most right-handed pitchers. He's up to a .328/.380/.609 slash line with four homers, 17 RBI and 10 runs scored over 71 plate appearances.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Torrid hitting continues Sunday

France went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

France's fifth multi-hit effort in the last seven games, which included his fourth two-bagger in the last five contests, pushed his season line to an impressive .283/.353/.429 across 275 plate appearances. While he's notably off the pace of the career-high 20-homer tally he generated in 2022 -- he's left the yard just once every 55 plate appearances on average -- France already has 26 extra-base hits and is striking out at a career-low 14.9 percent clip.

  • Ryan Noda 1B | BAL

Athletics' Ryan Noda: On base four times Sunday

Noda went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, two walks and a run in a win over the Brewers on Sunday.

Noda made his contributions to the Athletics' fifth straight win via the small-ball route while three other teammates left the yard. The busy day on the basepaths was par for the course for Noda, who pushed his on-base percentage to an outstanding .410 with what was his fifth multi-hit effort in the last eight games.

  • Matt Beaty 1B | KC

Royals' Matt Beaty: Latches on with Royals

Beaty signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Monday.

He'll report to Triple-A Omaha, where he'll represent some depth at the corner infield and outfield spots. Beaty had been in the Giants organization, seeing a little action in the majors but spending most of the season at the Triple-A level.

  • Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Doubles twice in win

Walker went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Tigers.

Down to his final strike in the ninth inning, Walker ripped his second double of the game, driving in two to give Arizona a 6-5 lead. The 32-year-old Walker is off to a nice start in June, batting .313 (10-for-32) with an .830 OPS through eight games. Overall, Walker is slashing .252/.315/.474 with 12 homers. 38 RBI and 37 runs scored through 257 plate appearances this season.
