LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: On bench versus lefty
Wade is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With southpaw Brandon Williamson on the bump for the Reds, Wade will be one of multiple lefty-hitting Giants regulars who will head to the bench. Wilmer Flores will spell Wade at first base.

Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Sitting Monday
Steer is not in the starting lineup Monday against the Giants.
Steer will get a day off after he went 1-for-9 with a walk and four strikeouts in the Reds' three-game series with Milwaukee. Joey Votto will take over at first base while Christian Encarnacion-Strand makes his MLB debut at designated hitter while hitting seventh in the series opener with San Francisco.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Back from paternity list
Diaz (personal) was reinstated from the paternity list Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Diaz will be back with the Rays as they head to Texas for a three-game series with the Rangers. The 31-year-old will look to pick up where he left off prior to the All-Star break, going 9-for-16 with a homer, a double, four RBI and two runs scored over his last four games. Jonathan Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday to open a roster spot for the returning Diaz.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Optioned to Triple-A
Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Aranda will return to Durham after getting called up Thursday, going 2-for-7 with a run scored while appearing in two games of the Rays' series with Kansas City. With Yandy Diaz returning from the paternity list Monday, Tampa Bay no longer needed Aranda on the big-league roster.

Nate Lowe 1B | CIN
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Knocks in two
Lowe went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 6-5 win over Cleveland.
Lowe delivered the first of three RBI singles in the eighth inning that turned a 5-2 deficit into the winning 6-5 margin. Surprisingly, the potent Rangers lineup, which leads the league in run differential, were 0-and-27 when trailing after seven innings until Sunday's comeback. Earlier in the contest, he drove in Corey Seager for the Rangers' second run. Lowe's power indicators -- home runs and slugging -- are down from his breakout 2022 season, but the first baseman remains a middle-of-the-order bat in a powerful offense.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Homers in victory
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
Goldschmidt gave the Cardinals some breathing room with a two-run shot in the sixth to put them up 6-3. He had gone nine straight games without an RBI from July 1 through July 14 but has tallied three RBI and been on base five times over his last two games. The 35-year-old continues to provide a steady bat for the Cardinals and is now slashing .285/.370/.480 with 16 homers, 49 RBI, 54 runs and a 47:88 BB:K in 405 plate appearances.

Michael Toglia 1B | COL
Rockies' Michael Toglia: Pops homer Sunday
Toglia went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings win over the Yankees.
Toglia got the nod at first base, spelling C.J. Cron, who served as the designated hitter Sunday. The homer was Toglia's first of the campaign. He's batting just .172 with a 2:10 BB:K over 31 major-league plate appearances, and it's unlikely he sees much more than a reserve role while on the Rockies' 26-man roster.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Smacks grand slam in win
Cron went 1-for-5 with a grand slam and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings win over the Yankees.
Cron put the Rockies ahead 5-3 with his eighth-inning blast, his second in as many games. The first baseman is batting a solid .314 (11-for-35) in July, lifting his season slash line to .250/.293/.451 through 50 contests. He's added nine homers, 28 RBI, 28 runs scored and 10 doubles over 198 plate appearances.
-
Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Homers off bench
Casas hit a two-run home run in his lone at-bat during Sunday's 11-5 win over the Cubs.
Casas has gone 4-for-9 while homering in three straight games since the All-Star break. That matches his homer total from all of June. The first baseman is slashing .233/.333/.434 with 12 long balls, 32 RBI, 37 runs scored and 14 doubles over 300 plate appearances. Casas should continue to see the bulk of the playing time against right-handed pitchers while platooning with Justin Turner, who is often in the lineup at designated hitter versus righties.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Drives in four runs
Kirilloff went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBI in Sunday's win over the Athletics.
Kirilloff knocked a solo homer in the fifth inning followed by a bases-clearing, go-ahead double in the seventh. It was his first homer since June 16; in 21 games since his last home run, Kirilloff posted a .604 OPS. The 25-year-old has gone deep five times with a .272/.370/.411 slash line through 209 plate appearances this season.
