Diaz (groin) is out of the lineup for the Rays' series finale with the Marlins and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Diaz will get examined after he exited Tuesday's 4-1 win with left groin tightness. According to Whitaker, manager Kevin Cash said that Diaz woke up Wednesday feeling no worse than Tuesday, so the Rays are optimistic that the 31-year-old won't have to go on the injured list as a result of the groin issue. Luke Raley will replace him at first base and will bat cleanup Wednesday.

Solano is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Solano is on the bench for the fourth time in five games and appears to have lost hold of a regular role at third base. He'll still likely serve as a starting infielder against left-handed pitching, but Kyle Farmer and Willi Castro may be the Twins' preferred options at third base versus right-handed pitching while all of Jorge Polanco (hamstring), Royce Lewis (oblique) and Jose Miranda (shoulder) are on the injured list.

O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss against Philadelphia.

O'Hearn gave the Orioles a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning with a solo homer off left-hander Matt Strahm, his ninth long ball of the year and second off a southpaw. The 30-year-old O'Hearn has seen steady playing time even with the return of Ryan Mountcastle, with Cedric Mullins (groin) and Aaron Hicks (hamstring) both on the IL. O'Hearn's gone 8-for-23 (.348) with a pair of homers and a 1.012 OPS over his last eight games, boosting his slash line to .310/.353/.536 with 33 RBI and 24 runs scored across 184 plate appearances this season.

Kirilloff is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Kirilloff's streak of nine consecutive starts will come to an end Wednesday while he rests for a day game after a night game. Joey Gallo will replace Kirilloff at first base and will serve as the Twins' No. 8 hitter.

Cooper is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

After sitting out Sunday's series finale with the Rockies due to an illness, Cooper returned to the lineup for Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Cooper isn't believed to be dealing with any health-related setbacks, so his absence from the lineup Wednesday is likely just a byproduct of the Marlins playing a day game after a night game.

Toglia will start at first base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

He'll stick in the lineup for a fifth consecutive game, manning first base once again while C.J. Cron (back) remains out of the lineup. Over the previous four games, Toglia went 3-for-16 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Cron has said that he expects to return to the lineup Friday versus Oakland, so Toglia could soon be headed back into a reserve role.

Alonso went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and five RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

The first baseman ended a 12-game power drought by taking Domingo German deep in the third and sixth innings. Alonso began July by slashing .114/.286/.273 through his first 13 contests on the month, but he's now hit safely in five straight while batting .474 (9-for-19) with five extra-base hits including two doubles and a triple. If the Mets are looking for excuses not to blow up the roster at the trade deadline, a return to form for Alonso could provide them with one.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Tuesday against the Cubs.

Vaughn was forced to sit out five games with a foot injury but was ultimately able to return without a stint on the injured list. He delivered an RBI single in the seventh inning, though he still has no extra-base hits across 21 at-bats since the All-Star break. While Vaughn should remain locked into the lineup as a regular at first base, he slipped one spot to hit sixth in the order in his return.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 extra-inning win over the Blue Jays.

Freeman has four homers, eight RBI and five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games, bouncing back from a quiet stretch right after the All-Star break. The first baseman has already matched his homer total from last year (21), doing so in 100 games this season compared to 159 contests in 2022. He's slashing a stellar .328/.410/.584 with 71 RBI, 87 runs scored, 12 stolen bases, 35 doubles and two triples while working as the Dodgers' usual No. 2 hitter.
