Toglia went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 12-2 loss to the Cubs.

Getting the start at first base and batting eighth, Toglia spoiled Chicago's combined shutout bid by taking Jose Cuas deep in the seventh inning, but it was the only bright spot on the night for the Rockies. The 25-year-old has started two of the last three games at first base as Kris Bryant splits his time between first and right field, and Toglia has gone 2-for-8 in those contests with Tuesday's blast being his first extra-base hit of the season. Counting DH, Colorado is rotating four players through three spots with Charlie Blackmon and Elehuris Montero also in the mix, so the door could be open for Toglia to claim more playing time if he heats up at the plate.

Walker went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-0 victory over the Yankees.

Walker broke the game open in the seventh inning, launching a 424-foot, three-run shot off Jake Cousins to extend Arizona's lead to 6-0. The 33-year-old Walker is now 7-for-24 with three home runs and eight RBI to start the season. He slashed .258/.333/.497 with 33 homers and a career-high 103 RBI last year.

Cooper went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, a three-run home run and an additional run in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the Rockies.

Cooper finished a single shy of a cycle but it was a huge offensive performance nonetheless. The extra-base hits were his first three of the season, and the veteran now has an absurd 1.806 OPS, albeit in a very small sample size. Cooper is slotted behind Michael Busch right now at first base, though the former could push for more playing time if he stays hot.

Wade isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Wade will take a seat Tuesday with left-hander Ryan Yarbrough expected to serve as the Dodgers' primary pitcher behind opener Ryan Brasier. Wilmer Flores will get the nod at first base, and Mike Yastrzemski will start in right field.

Toglia is starting at first base and hitting eighth in Tuesday's contest versus the Cubs.

It's Toglia's second start in six games after he reached base twice in his first one. Kris Bryant is playing right field Tuesday, while Charlie Blackmon will occupy the designated hitter slot.

Montero is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Montero started each of the first five games this season, but he'll take a seat for the sixth contest. Charlie Blackmon will be in the designated hitter spot, Kris Bryant will play right field and Michael Toglia will handle first base.

Schanuel went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Monday's 7-4 victory versus the Marlins.

Schanuel hit the first of the Angels' back-to-back jacks in the sixth inning, with Mike Trout following with a massive blast of his own. Schanuel has quietly put together an impressive on-base streak of 33 games dating back to his MLB debut last season. Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com, it's the third-longest on-base streak to begin a career in league history.

Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

Naylor's eighth-inning blast got the Guardians within a run, but the comeback fell short. He's hit safely in each of his first four games of the season, and he's knocked in a run in each of the last two. The first baseman is 6-for-16 with two doubles, a home run and three runs scored. Naylor may not get every start at first versus southpaws -- he's been in the lineup for one of the Guardians' two games versus a lefty starter, with David Fry taking first in the other.

Torkelson went 0-for-4 in Monday's 5-0 win over the Mets.

The season has just got started, so Torkelson's early struggles should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it is hard to ignore his 3-for-17 start to the year, a dreary line that's carried over from spring training. On a positive note, the 24-year-old has been making consistent contact, striking out just three times thus far. Torkelson went down on strikes 171 times in 684 plate appearances last year, and he should be able to build on a strong 2023 if he can dramatically lower that number while maintaining his power.

Casas went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a double in Monday's 9-0 win over Oakland.

With Justin Turner now in Toronto, Casas should pick up more starts against lefty arms this season. The 24-year-old first baseman has yet to display his power upside with no home runs through five games this season, but Casas should have a chance to build off his 24-homer campaign in 2023 with the additional opportunities he projects to see.
