Stowers went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run during the Marlins' 5-2 win over the Mets on Friday.

Stowers extended Miami's lead to 5-1 in the sixth inning with a solo long ball off Xzavion Curry. It continued Stowers' hot streak at the plate, with the 28-year-old outfielder up to 16 home runs on the season after logging four homers over his last six games. He'll end the month of July with a .812 OPS with seven home runs and 13 RBI over 98 plate appearances.

Contreras was removed from Friday's game against the Dodgers after getting hit on the head by a pitch, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Contreras ran for himself after getting hit by a 95-mph fastball in the third inning, but he was replaced at first base when the Red Sox went back on defense. He'll presumably be evaluated for a concussion, and the Red Sox should provide more information on his status in the near future. In the meantime, Nick Sogard will act as Boston's first baseman.

Murakami went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Friday's 6-1 win over Tampa Bay.

Murakami extended the White Sox's lead to 4-1 in the third inning with a two-run homer off Nick Martinez, and the slugger came around to score in the sixth on a deep ball from Colson Montgomery. The long ball was the 24th of the season for Murakami and extended his on-base streak to 17 games, during which he has gone 16-for-62 with four home runs, 10 RBI, five doubles and 16 runs scored.

Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Nationals.

Olson opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning before coming around to score after a double in the sixth. The 32-year-old hit just .226 over 27 July contests but still managed nine homers in the month and matched his season homer total (29) from both 2024 and 2025 on Friday. On the year, he's slashing .263/.340/.529 with 29 long balls, 67 RBI, 75 runs scored and two steals across 483 plate appearances.

Garcia was removed from Friday's game against Atlanta with right knee soreness, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Garcia went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before his knee forced him out of the game in the seventh inning. The severity of his injury remains unknown, but Andres Chaparro could be in line for an extra start or two at first base if Garcia needs to sit.

O'Hearn was removed from Friday's game against the Reds with an apparent quad injury, Dominic Campbell of SI.com reports.

O'Hearn was grabbing at his left quad while attempting to beat out a groundball in the ninth inning, and he had to be helped off the field by the Pirates' training staff. He'll presumably be sent in for imaging, and the team could provide an update on his health in the near future. If he ends up needing to miss additional time, Jacob Gonzalez would presumably shift to first base, opening up shortstop for Jared Triolo.

Guerrero (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Cardinals, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

During Thursday's day off, Guerrero tested his hitting and running to determine his availability for Friday's series opener. The 27-year-old will man first base and bat second for Toronto.

The Orioles announced this week that Mountcastle (foot) suffered a "significant" oblique strain while warming up for his first rehab game and will now be out a couple more months, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Mountcastle, who has not played since April 11, will miss even more time after straining his oblique prior to his first rehab game. Orioles general manager Mike Elias said they "can't expect him back anytime soon." The 29-year-old is now unlikely to play again this season after registering just eight games played from late March to early April.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Friday's matchup against Arizona.

Despite smacking a two-run homer and drawing two walks in the series finale against Cincinnati on Thursday, Manzardo will ride the bench for Friday's series opener against the Diamondbacks. Rhys Hoskins will take over at first base and bat cleanup for Cleveland.

Stowers went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

The 28-year-old took Nolan McLean deep in the fourth inning to open the scoring, Stowers' third homer in the last five games. That surge comes on the heels of a 12-game power drought, as the streaky slugger shows signs of breaking out. Seven of Stowers' 15 long balls on the season have come in July, but he's managed just a .230/.306/.506 slash line on the month in 23 contests with 10 runs and 13 RBI.
