Justin Bour 1B | SF

Bour is not in the lineup Saturday against the Cubs, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
Bour will head to the bench for a breather after starting each of the last six contests. Tyler Moore will start in his place at first base.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Mets' Wilmer Flores: Collects three hits Friday
Flores went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's win over the Giants.
With Asdrubal Cabrera now playing second base and Jose Reyes at shortstop, Flores doesn't have a whole lot of competition for playing time at third, but he may be getting exposed in a full-time role. The 25-year-old snapped out of a 4-for-41 (.098) slump with the three-hit effort, but he'll need to keep raking to avoid a trip to the bench once Amed Rosario gets his inevitable promotion.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Bangs out three hits Friday
Cabrera went 3-for-6 with two runs scored in Friday's win over the Giants.
He didn't let his shift to second base, or his resulting trade request, distract him in his return from the DL. Cabrera is still only hitting .214 (9-for-42) in June despite the big day, however, and the 31-year-old likely isn't going to fetch much on the open market given his status as a free agent in the offseason.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Cubs' Anthony Rizzo: Gets day off Saturday
Rizzo is not in the lineup Saturday against the Marlins.
Rizzo is just 1-for-10 over his last three starts, so he'll head to the bench for a breather as manager Joe Maddon shuffles the Cubs' lineup around. Kris Bryant is starting at first base in Rizzo's absence, with Ian Happ getting the nod at the keystone and Javy Baez sliding over to the hot corner.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Pirates' Josh Bell: Goes deep off righty Friday
Bell went 1-for-4 with his 14th homer -- and second in three games -- Friday against St. Louis.
The switch hitter continues to show defining splits which could help decide whether to start him or sit him. Against right-handed pitching, Bell is slashing .257/.340/.497 with 10 homers and 25 RBI in 187 at-bats. Southpaws are limiting the rookie to .169/.246/.390 with four homers and eight RBI in 59 at-bats.

Chris Carter 1B | LAA
Yankees' Chris Carter: Designated for assignment
Carter was designated for assignment following Friday's game against the Rangers.
Carter went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his final game to bring his batting line to a brutal .204/.286/.383. The pop he provides just hasn't been enough to offset his lack of contact ability. The Yankees will call up Tyler Austin to replace Carter before Saturday's game.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Requests trade after positional switch
Cabrera has requested a trade from the Mets after he was moved to second base, the New York Daily News reports.
One of Cabrera's conditions for signing with the Mets in the first place was that he would only play shortstop, He is a free agent after the season and understands that a huge amount of his value rests on his ability to play the position. For now, Cabrera is in the lineup as the Mets' starting second baseman, but his time in New York could be growing short.

Asdrubal Cabrera 1B | CIN
Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Activated from DL
Cabrera (thumb) was activated from the disabled list Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
As expected, Cabrera will rejoin the Mets for Friday's series opener against the Giants after the minimum stay on the disabled list. Gavin Cecchini was sent to Triple-A in a corresponding roster move, which could mean Cabrera will see a decent amount of starts at second base in Neil Walker's (hamstring) absence.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Braves' Freddie Freeman: Hopes to begin rehab assignment in early July
Freeman (wrist) was cleared to take dry swings Friday and hopes to begin a rehab assignment in early July, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
This is a big step for Freeman, who will continue to ramp up his workouts as he eyes a return to the Braves before the All Star break. Barring any setbacks, he could set out on a rehab assignment as early as July 3, putting the earlier plausible return date for the slugger sometime during the July 6-9 series against the Nationals. The plan is still to bring Freeman back as a third baseman in an attempt to keep Matt Adams' bat in the lineup.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake
Cron was sent down to the minors Friday prior to the series opener against Boston.
Cron has been struggling recently, failing to record a hit during his last four games (0-for-9 with three walks and three strikeouts) and seemingly losing time to Luis Valbuena as the latter starts to heat up. In a corresponding move, the team recalled Eduardo Paredes from Salt Lake. Even though Cron is heading back to Triple-A, the first baseman will likely be back in the big leagues before long.
