Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with his 31st home run of the season, a double and two RBI in a 3-2 loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Goldschmidt's two-run shot off Hyun-Jin Ryu extended the first baseman's on-base streak to a franchise-record 43 consecutive road contests. The 30-year-old has continued to keep himself in the conversation for NL MVP consideration with a huge second half, during which he's slashed .322/.420/.584 with 10 home runs, 26 RBI and 22 runs in 38 contests.

O'Hearn went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Friday's 9-2 win over the Orioles.

The rookie continues to swing a hot bat, racking up four multi-hit performances and four homers in his last nine games to give him a .353/.405/.794 slash line over that stretch. O'Hearn should see regular playing time between DH and first base in September, and with seven home runs through his first 21 big-league contests, he could be solid source of power even in shallower fantasy formats.

Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a walkoff solo homer in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday against the Cubs.

After going hitless in his first three at-bats, Cabrera took Steve Cishek deep with one out in the 10th inning to end things. It was just Cabrera's third homer in 30 games with the Phillies and his first since Aug. 5, though it came at a perfect time. He's now 25-for-114 (.219) with three homers and 10 RBI since joining the Phillies in late July.

Bour (oblique) took some swings Friday for the first time since injuring his oblique Aug. 22, Matt Gelb of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

Bour is eligible to return Sunday, though manager Gabe Kapler expects him to be activated "some time next week", so he'll likely be out for a few days longer than the minimum. He'll return to a part-time role once he's healthy.

Cooper underwent successful surgery on his right wrist tendon Friday, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Cooper remains without a concrete timetable for his recovery after undergoing this procedure, but given that he hasn't played since July 20, his 2018 campaign would seem to be over. The 27-year-old hit .212 with two RBI in 14 games for the Marlins this season.

Shaw will have his contract purchased from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Shaw will join the active roster and take the place of Andrew McCutchen on the 40-man after the veteran was traded to the Yankees in exchange for Abiatal Avelino and Juan De Paula on Friday. Across 101 games with Sacramento this year, Shaw has slashed .259/.308/.505 with 24 home runs and 65 RBI. The left fielder has power that is sorely needed in the Giants' lineup, though the club's home park won't be of much assistance. Look for Shaw to receive plenty of opportunities to show off his potential over the final month of the 2018 campaign during his first taste of the big leagues.

Voit went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored Thursday against Detroit.

Voit clubbed a two-run homer to center field in the seventh inning to put the Yankees ahead by two, but the Tigers would rally for three runs in the ninth to take the series opener. Voit has been on a power surge since being called up Aug. 21, slugging four home runs and driving in nine over nine ballgames.

Freeman went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs.

Freeman singled in a run during the third inning before knocking a two-run triple in the fifth. The performance is nothing out of the ordinary for the 28-year-old, who now owns a terrific .311/.394/.512 line and 81 RBI in 591 plate appearances.

Manager Rick Renteria said Thursday that Abreu (abdomen) is still a week away from returning to baseball activities, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.

This puts Abreu about a week behind his original return timetable. He'll need to acclimate to baseball activity before returning to the field for the White Sox, likely leaving him at least a couple weeks away from returning. That said, the team is confident the first baseman will play again this season.

Votto (lower leg) was activated from the 10-day DL and will bat third in Thursday's lineup versus Milwaukee, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Votto will be back at first base and hitting in his typical spot in the order after missing the past 12 games due to a right lower-leg contusion. Across 118 contests this year, Votto is hitting .284/.422/.419 with nine home runs and 55 RBI. The Reds have yet to make a corresponding move.
