Voit went 3-for-3 with a single, a double, a home run, one walk, two RBI and two runs in Thursday's win over the Rays.

Voit reached base in all four of his plate appearances, highlighted by an RBI double in the fourth inning and a solo homer in the sixth. He's now put together two consecutive three-hit games, and he carries a .319 batting average with 13 home runs and 33 RBI over 152 plate appearances in 2018.

Gurriel is not in the lineup Thursday against the Orioles, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel is in the midst of a 12-game hit streak, slashing .429/.451/.673 with three homers and 15 RBI over that stretch, but he'll head to the bench for Thursday's series opener as the Astros rest some starters with a division title already wrapped up. Tyler White is starting at first base and hitting fifth in this one, with Brian McCann serving as the DH.

Freeman is not in the lineup Thursday against the Mets.

The Braves have already clinched a playoff berth, so Freeman will head to the bench for what appears to be a regular day off following 19 straight starts. The first baseman slashed .319/.370/.472 with two homers, two stolen bases and 12 RBI over that stretch. Ryan Flaherty is starting at first base and hitting eighth in place of Freeman.

Olson went 1-for-5 with a grand slam Wednesday in the Athletics' 9-3 win over the Mariners.

Olson's bases-clearing drive off reliever Chasen Bradford concluded a six-run fifth inning for the Athletics, who kept their hopes of earning home-field advantage for the wild-card matchup with the Yankees alive with the victory. Though he has seen his OPS fall more than 200 points from his impressive rookie campaign, Olson is coming on strong in September with a .295/.396/.526 slash line, five home runs and 19 RBI in 23 games.

Cabrera is out of the starting nine versus the Rockies on Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera will remain on the bench for a fifth straight game while Scott Kingery gets another start at shortstop. At this point, it looks like the club is just trying to give more playing time to Kingery with its postseason hopes dashed.

Abreu (infection) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

With less than a week left in the regular season and the White Sox well out of playoff contention, the team opted to shut down the stud first baseman. Abreu played just six games over the final month and a half of the season due to multiple injuries, preventing him from reaching 25 homers and 100 RBI for the first time in his five-year career. He should be ready to go by the start of spring training.

Bell is out of the lineup versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Bell will take a seat with southpaw Jose Quintana on the bump for the Cubs. In his place, Jose Osuna will start at first base and bat third in the order. Bell may remain on the bench for the series finale Thursday with lefty Jon Lester set to pitch.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup against the Reds on Wednesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI during Tuesday's contest but will head to the bench with left-hander Cody Reed on the mound for Cincinnati. On the season, he's posted a wRC+ of just 4 against southpaws while accumulating a 221 mark versus right-handers. In his place, Hunter Dozier will start at first base and bat fifth.

Shaw is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Padres, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Shaw will take a seat Tuesday as manager Bruce Bochy stacks right-handed hitters against lefty Robbie Erlin. The rookie is hitting .208/.304/.313 through 19 games with the Giants since earning a promotion at the beginning of September. Austin Slater will start in left field and hit second in his place.

Walker (nose) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

It was originally thought the Walker was dealing with a deep bruise after being struck by a pitch during his eighth-inning at-bat in Monday's loss, but further tests revealed a sinus fracture. The 27-year-old hit just .163/.226/.388 with three homers in 37 games with the Diamondbacks this year.
