Shaw will remain on the bench for a second straight game with another southpaw (Clayton Kershaw) on the bump. Gregor Blanco will start in left field while Gorkys Hernandez gets the nod in center.

Gurriel is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles but will man third base and bat cleanup in Game 2, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Gurriel sat out Friday's series opener and will receive another breather during the afternoon outing Saturday. Across 21 games this month, he's hitting a robust .361/.386/.590 with five home runs and 21 RBI.

After a glacially slow start to the season, Goldschmidt has at least rallied to meet draft-day expectations with a .290 average and 33 home runs, though his team's collective offensive slide in the second half will likely prevent him from reaching the century mark in RBI (95) and runs (83). Those totals represent his lowest outputs in both categories since 2014, when he was sidelined for the final two months of the season with a broken hand.

Voit is not in Saturday's starting lineup against Boston, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Voit will receive a standard day off following 10 straight starts. During that span, he's slashed .410/.465/.949 with six home runs and 14 RBI. Greg Bird will draw a start at first base in his place.

Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a solo shot in Friday's loss to the Braves.

It was Hoskins' 34th long ball of the season, with the solo smash boosting his RBI total to 95. While his .245 average may leave something to be desired, Hoskins has some of the most deadly power in the game as shown by his .495 slugging percentage. He'll enter next season as the Phillies' everyday left fielder.

Rizzo went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Rizzo delivered an RBI single to kick off the scoring in the first inning and plated a run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth. He's batting .279 with two home runs and 13 RBI through 26 games in September and hopes to carry that success over into the postseason.

Santana tried to spark a rally with a two-run homer in the eighth inning, but the Phillies ended up falling short in the 5-3 loss. It's been another consistently productive season for Santana, as he carries a .228/.351/.417 slash line with 28 doubles, 24 home runs and 85 RBI to go along with an impressive 107:91 BB:K ratio.

Cron went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.

Cron provided the only offense of the day for the Rays with a solo shot in the seventh inning, as they suffered a 12-1 blowout loss. The homer was his 29th of the season, which extends his career high in that category. He now owns a .255 batting average with 28 doubles and 72 RBI over 546 plate appearances on the year.
