The first baseman's power isn't quite at the expected level with just five homers, but there's been little else to complain about with his play. After getting his first big-league call-up Saturday, Elko had started at first base or designated hitter in each of the White Sox's ensuing four games, going 2-for-14 with a home run and three RBI. The White Sox will likely continue to carve out at least a semi-regular role for Elko in the short term, though he'll still be subject to occasional days off versus right-handed pitching.

Ty France 1B | TOR
Twins' Ty France: Idle for Thursday's game
France (foot) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles.
On Wednesday, France exited in the fifth inning of the Twins' 6-3 win in the first game of a doubleheader due to a left foot contusion, then was withheld from action in the 8-6 win over the Orioles later on that day. The Twins are continuing to view France as day-to-day, but he'll miss out on a second straight start as the team wraps up its series in Baltimore. Kody Clemens will fill in for France at first base.
