Diaz (hand/wrist) was a late scratch from Tuesday's lineup against the Dodgers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

X-rays were negative on Diaz's wrist injury, which he suffered Sunday, but he will nonetheless be a late scratch after originally being cleared to play. According to Topkin, Diaz tried to swing before the game and felt too much pain. Ji-Man Choi slots in at first base, hitting third in his stead. Consider Diaz day-to-day for now.

Diaz (hand) will start at first base and serve as the Rays' leadoff hitter Tuesday against the Dodgers, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Diaz was pulled late in Sunday's series finale with the Yankees after being plunked on the left hand, but he's apparently feeling fine coming out of Monday's off day. While his health doesn't appear to be a concern as the Rays begin a five-game week, Diaz's declining production has made him a tough player to hold in shallower formats lately. Over his 15 games in May, Diaz is slashing .194/.242/.355 with two home runs, four RBI and eight runs.

Olson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a win over the Indians on Monday.

Olson launched a Carlos Carrasco third-inning offering 417 feet into the right-field bleachers for his fourth homer of the campaign. The 25-year-old has hit all of those round trippers over the last eight games, a stretch during which he also has all five of his RBI for the season.

Naylor went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a walk and four RBI on Monday in Triple-A El Paso's 21-10 win over Albuquerque.

Naylor is now up to 10 home runs on the season and lifted his average above .300 after the three-hit performance. The 2015 first-round pick began his career as a first baseman, but has played exclusively in the corner outfield at El Paso. Naylor's full-time move to the outfield could help expedite his arrival to the big leagues, given that the Padres already have a long-term commitment to Eric Hosmer at first base.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Monday's 10-9 win over the Mariners.

He tagged Mike Leake in the first and fourth innings, leading the way in a five-homer barrage for the Rangers. Cabrera is now slashing .221/.296/.456 through 39 games with nine homers and 25 RBI.

Alonso went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.

He took Patrick Corbin deep in the first inning for his 15th homer of the year. Alonso leads all rookies in HR and RBI (35) on the season so far, and his .259/.344/.590 slash line through 46 games is nearly identical to his performance at Triple-A Las Vegas in 2018.

France is not in the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks.

France has started 11 of the past 12 games for the Padres, going 7-for-36 (.194) with a pair of homers and six RBI during that stretch. Greg Garcia is starting at third base in place of France on Monday, with Ian Kinsler joining the starting lineup at second base.

Flores (foot) isn't in Monday's starting lineup against San Diego.

Flores had to leave Sunday's contest after getting drilled on the foot by a pitch, and he was later diagnosed with a foot contusion. He'll be forced to miss at least one start while on the mend. Ketel Marte will move to the keystone while Jarrod Dyson nabs a start in center field with Flores out of the mix.

Solano was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Solano hit .222 with an RBI in six games with the Giants, but he'll head back down to the minor leagues to make room on the 25-man roster for Andrew Suarez, who's making his 2019 season debut Monday evening.

Cron is not starting Monday against the Angels.

Cron sits after starting 12 straight games, a stretch in which he hit .380 with six home runs. Willians Astudillo gets the call at first base in his absence.
