Flores will serve as the Giants' designated hitter and will bat sixth Sunday against the Athletics, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Flores will make his sixth consecutive start and seems to have at least temporarily emerged as manager Gabe Kapler's preferred designated hitter. The 29-year-old has produced six hits over his last two games, raising his season average to .307.

Alonso is not in Sunday's lineup against the Phillies.

He is hitting .263 with a home run, six strikeouts and one walk over his last five games. Dominic Smith will start at first base while Robinson Cano shifts to designated hitter.

Walker went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Padres.

Walker has hit safely in four of the Diamondbacks' last five games, and he has produced multi-hit performances in each one of those four contests. The first baseman is hitting .286 with seven extra-base hits in 49 at-bats this month, but he has also struck out in 26.4 percent of his plate appearances during that span.

Gurriel went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Mariners.

Gurriel lifted a solo shot to center field in the fourth inning for what ultimately proved to be the winning margin in the contest. The long ball was Gurriel's second in as many days and his fifth overall this season. With Saturday's two-hit performance, Gurriel has now logged multiple hits in four of his last seven games.

White went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in a loss to Houston on Saturday.

White started at first base and batted out of the eighth spot in the contest. He plated Seattle's only run of the game with a solo home run to center field in the eighth inning. The blast was the second of his career and first since July 27. Of White's nine hits this season, five have gone for extra bases (two home runs, three doubles).

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's victory over San Francisco.

Olson's lone hit of the night was a solo shot to center field in the sixth inning to tie the score 3-3. The 26-year-old has hit a solo home run in each of his last three games and is now up to eight long balls on the season, tied for fourth in baseball.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-8 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored across both games of the Cardinals' doubleheader Saturday against the White Sox.

Goldschmidt delivered a single in the first game, and he added a solo home run in the fourth inning of the second contest. He later reached on an infield single that resulted in an RBI, and he ultimately came around to score as well. Due to the Cardinals' long layoff, Goldschmidt has only 29 plate appearances this season, though he has two home runs, six runs scored and three RBI to go along with a .333/.379/.556 line.

Hoskins went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored and three RBI in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Mets.

His bases-loaded double off Steven Matz in the fifth inning proved to be the biggest blow in the game. Hoskins is still looking for his first home run on the year, and he only has four RBI despite Saturday's performance, but he's been showing signs of life, hitting .333 (7-for-21) with three doubles over the last six games.

Rizzo went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Brewers.

Rizzo smacked his fifth home run -- a solo shot -- of the season in the first inning off Adrian Houser. One frame later, he added an RBI double to continue his strong performance. For the season, he's hitting .254/.405/.509 with nine RBI and 12 runs scored across 79 plate appearances.

Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run homer in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Phillies.

The Mets only managed six hits on the night, and the four not off Smith's bat were only singles. The 25-year-old is emerging as the slugger his scouting reports always said he could become, and he's now gone yard in four straight games, giving him six homers and 16 RBI through 16 contests this year.
