"I feel better every single day," Solano said. "I try to push myself every single day to get better and better. I don't know how much more time I need, but I think we're moving at a good pace."

Solano elaborated that his leg isn't yet 100 percent when swinging, and that he feels it when "I touch the ground and turn." He's also not yet running, so a rehab assignment isn't yet in the offing.

Alonso (mouth) will bat cleanup and play first base Friday against the Nationals.

Wade (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list as expected Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The move was made retroactive to April 4, so Wade will be eligible to return April 14, but it's not clear if that's in play. The plan was to shut him down for 10 days, a period which ends Thursday, and then re-evaluate him, so a clearer picture of his recovery timeline should emerge soon.
