Cronenworth went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an RBI single in Friday's win over Kansas City.

Cronenworth's solo shot came in the third inning as he went back-to-back with Wil Myers. He also knocked in Josh Bell on a single in the seventh. The home run gives the second baseman 13 on the year and four this month. Cronenworth extended his hit streak to three games after Friday's two-hit outing. He has gone 11-for-his-last-37, raising his batting average from .237 to .241 in the process.

Tellez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in a 4-3 loss to the Cubs on Friday.

Tellez is having the best season of his career and now has 27 home runs and 75 RBI on the season. The 27-year-old first-baseman appears to be on the brink of his first 30-home run season. Tellez has settled into an everyday role for the Brewers since being traded from the Blue Jays last season and already has a career-high 407 at-bats in 2022. There are huge holes in his swing, and Tellez is batting only .231, but his .320 OBP suggests that he has walked just enough this season to keep his power bat in the lineup.

Olson went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's 11-4 win over the Cardinals.

Olson's collected six hits, including a home run and three doubles, in his last two games. For the season, he's up to 40 two-baggers, trailing only the Dodgers' Freddie Freeman (42). Olson continues to flex strong power, with Friday's effort getting his slugging percentage back up to .500 for the first time since July 31. The first baseman is batting .254 with 27 home runs, 87 RBI and 67 runs scored through 127 contests overall.

Wade was scratched from Friday's lineup against Minnesota for an undisclosed reason.

It's not yet clear whether Wade's scratch was due to an injury, but he was removed from the lineup with under an hour remaining until the start of the game. Mike Yastrzemski is shifting to right field while Austin Slater starts in center.

Batten was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Batten joined the Padres at the end of July but saw minimal playing time during his stint with the big-league club. He'll head back to the minors after Eguy Rosario was called up Friday.

Cooper (concussion) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list Friday, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.

Cooper played in two rehab games with Single-A Jupiter this week and is now back with the Marlins after briefly being sidelined by a concussion. The 31-year-old should see regular playing time down the stretch for Miami, especially after Jesus Aguilar was designated for assignment Friday to make room for him on the active roster.

Montero is not starting Friday versus the Mets.

Montero will stay on the bench for the second straight contest and third time in the last four games. Charlie Blackmon will remain at designated hitter while Wynton Bernard enters the lineup in center field and bats ninth against New York.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 3-1 win over Colorado.

Alonso provided all the offense Jacob deGrom and a trio of relievers needed to pull out a win with his two-run blast to left field in the third inning. The homer was his 31st of the season, tied for fourth most in the majors. Alonso is also tied for third in the big leagues with 104 RBI on the campaign.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI on Thursday against the Cubs.

Goldschmidt powered the Cardinals to victory Thursday by slugging his 32nd and 33rd homers of the season. He has had a particularly excellent August, delivering nine homers, 27 RBI and 21 runs scored across 21 games. For the season, he owns a .339/.420/.637 line across 516 plate appearances.

Montero is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Mets.

Montero will get a breather after he went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Rangers. Charlie Blackmon will shift to designated hitter while Garrett Hampson enters the lineup in center field and bats ninth in the series opener.
