Alonso went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored, a stolen base and two walks in Thursday's 10-1 win over the Cubs.

Alonso did a little bit of everything in his first multi-hit effort since April 27. While he lacked massive performances in that span, he hit safely in 17 of those 24 contests. The steal was his first of the campaign, while his homer was his major-league-leading 19th and his sixth in the last nine games. He's added 45 RBI, 35 runs scored and a .239/.341/.559 slash line through 51 contests overall.

Cooper went 1-for-1 with a two-run homer in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.

Cooper started the day on the bench after going 2-for-26 in his last six games. However, he pinch hit for Nick Fortes with two outs in the ninth and blasted a two-run, game-tying home run off Pierce Johnson. It's Cooper's fifth homer of the season and just his second since April 9. He's now slashing .239/.280/.403 with 19 RBI through 143 plate appearances this year.

Hall (thumb) could start a rehab assignment early next week, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Hall has passed all of the necessary tests in his recovery from April 12 surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb. He's on the 60-day injured list but can be activated by the Phillies as early as June 5. Kody Clemens and Alec Bohm are currently sharing starts at first base for the reigning NL champs. Clemens has been swinging a hot bat lately but would probably be at the biggest risk of losing playing time upon Hall's return.

Manager Bud Black said Thursday that Cron (back) is expected to begin taking swings soon, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Cron has moved along more slowly than expected in his recovery from a bout of lower-back spasms, which sent him to the 10-day IL exactly 10 days ago. A return in early June is the best-case scenario. Michael Toglia and Mike Moustakas have been sharing starts at first base in Cron's absence.

Cooper is out of the lineup Thursday afternoon at Colorado.

Cooper went 0-for-5 with a strikeout Wednesday and is slashing just .233/.275/.376 in 142 plate appearances for the year. Yuli Gurriel will play first base Thursday and Jorge Soler will serve as the Marlins' designated hitter.

Bohm went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Bohm got the Phillies on the board with a two-out RBI single off Kevin Ginkel in the sixth inning before ending the game with a walk-off base hit off Jose Ruiz in the 10th. It's Bohm's first multi-hit game since May 15 -- he'd gone 4-for-26 over his last seven contests. Overall, the 26-year-old has been solid this season, slashing .264/.320/.390 with five home runs and 35 RBI through 200 plate appearances, and he's taken over as the Phillies' regular first baseman with Rhys Hoskins (knee) out for the year.

Goldschmidt is absent from the lineup Thursday in Cincinnati, 101 ESPN St. Louis reports.

Goldschmidt had served as the designated hitter the previous two days and now is out of the lineup entirely for Thursday's series finale. The Cardinals are resting several regulars for the afternoon tilt.

Steer went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Cardinals.

All four knocks were singles, but Steer still paced a Cincy attack that stung St. Louis pitching for a season-high 18 hits. The 25-year-old extended his hitting streak to seven games with the performance, and through 21 contests in May he's slashing .294/.355/.506 with four homers, 12 runs and 13 RBI.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-3 win against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Olson broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with a moonshot to right field that traveled an estimated 456 feet. It was his sixth hit over his past six games, all of which have gone for extra bases (three doubles, three homers). Olson is up to 14 long balls on the campaign, tied for third-most in the majors.

Gurriel went 4-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Rockies.

Gurriel delivered a two-out single in the fourth to drive home the Marlins' first run of the game. He followed that with a triple in the sixth inning. Gurriel has eight hits in the last three games, but just one of those went for extra bases. Gurriel's power disappeared last season and hasn't returned in 2023. However, his average is creeping back up and sits at .291. Gurriel also picked up his second steal of the season thanks to a rundown gone wrong for the Rockies.
