Smith went 4-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.

While none of the knocks went for extra bases, it was still a strong showing for the 30-year-old. With Sean Murphy (finger) back on the IL, Smith should resume his role as Atlanta's primary DH against right-handed pitching. Through 81 plate appearances with the platoon edge this season, he's erupted for a .378/.407/.581 slash line with four homers and 18 RBI.

Stewart went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-4 loss to the Nationals.

The rookie first baseman extended a modest hitting streak to five games with the performance, although Tuesday's effort was his first multi-hit performance since April 25. Stewart's blistering start to the season has faded as big-league pitchers have gotten a book on him, but the 22-year-old may be making the necessary adjustments. Through 42 contests, he's still slashing .256/.335/.494 with 10 homers, eight steals, 25 runs and 30 RBI.

Horwitz went 2-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rockies.

With a second straight two-hit game, Horwitz now has his average up to a season-high .272, and he's currently riding a six-game hitting streak. In nine games this month, Horwitz is 10-for-30 (.333) with four doubles, one triple, nine RBI, two runs scored and an 8:3 BB:K. On the year, Horwitz has an impressive .393 on-base percentage and has walked more times (23) than he's struck out (18) across 140 trips to the plate.

Vaughn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Vaughn has gone 3-for-13 with three walks, a double and a homer in five games since coming off the injured list last week, though he finds himself on the bench Tuesday for the second time in Milwaukee's past three contests. Jake Bauers, who has an .850 OPS across 20 at-bats in May, will instead start at first base in the series opener versus San Diego.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

It's the second straight game on the bench versus a right-handed starter for Lowe, who has an .876 OPS through 29 games but has scuffled a bit of late with just four hits and nine strikeouts in his past 22 at-bats. Eugenio Suarez (oblique) isn't expected to come off the injured list in the near future, so Lowe should still get plenty of playing time going forward despite the consecutive absences.

Manger Tony Vitello stated Monday that Eldridge will receive a chance to pinch hit in every game that he isn't listed in the starting lineup, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Eldridge isn't in the starting nine for a second straight game, as San Francisco is electing to deploy Casey Schmitt at first base and Rafael Devers in the designated hitter slot for Monday's series opener against the Dodgers. However, Vitello acknowledged that Eldridge will remain in contention for starts, and the club will also utilize his power bat off the bench in late-game situations as needed in an effort to continue his development.

Santana suffered a setback with his right adductor strain Sunday while on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Santana had appeared poised for activation from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Rangers, but his status is now up in the air. The 40-year-old was functioning as the Diamondbacks' primary first baseman before getting hurt in early April, but with the emergence of Ildemaro Vargas, Santana could be looking at a reduced role when he does make it back.

Gurevitch was promoted from Single-A Palm Beach to High-A Peoria on Monday.

Gurevitch earned a bump up to a new level after slashing .274/.398/.538 with six home runs and a 20:39 BB:K over 28 games with Palm Beach. The 22-year-old was a third-round pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft.

Morel went 1-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Nationals.

Getting the start at DH and batting sixth, Morel produced his first RBI and first steal as a member of the Marlins. The 26-year-old was signed this offseason to potentially fill a hole at first base, a position he'd never played before in the majors, but an oblique strain in late March delayed the implementation of that plan. In nine games since being activated from the IL, Morel has appeared four times at first base and four times at DH, batting .179 (5-for-28) with a 2:11 BB:K.

Steer went 1-for-5 with a solo home run during the Reds' 5-0 win over the Astros on Sunday.

Steer extended the Reds' lead to five runs in the sixth after belting a solo home run off Cody Bolton. It was the seventh home run of the season for Steer, who has recorded at least one hit in 12 of his last 13 games. Across that 13-game span, he has gone 14-for-46 (.304) with three home runs and seven RBI.
