Tim Elko 1B | CHW
White Sox's Tim Elko: Tallies second homer
Elko went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk Saturday against the Cubs.
Elko sat the last two games with a righty on the mound, but he returned Saturday against left-hander Matthew Boyd. He appears to be settling into a small-side platoon role, though the situation is likely to remain fluid. Elko is now 3-for-17 with a pair of homers and four RBI in his first six MLB contests.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | TEX
Mariners' Rowdy Tellez: Goes deep in Saturday's win
Tellez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Padres.
Tellez tied the game at 1-1 with his eighth homer of the season, a fifth-inning solo shot. The first baseman had gone 0-for-8 over his previous four games. He's been flirting with the Mendoza Line all year, and he's now at a .200/.252/.484 slash line with 22 RBI, 14 runs scored and three doubles over 103 plate appearances. Interestingly enough, Tellez has hit six of his homers and supplied 15 of his RBI on Fridays or Saturdays this season.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Getting day off
Mountcastle isn't part of the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Mountcastle will get a much-deserved rest day Saturday, taking a seat for the first time in 18 games. Ryan O'Hearn will fill in at first base, while Adley Rutschman slides to DH and Maverick Handley slots in behind the plate. Mountcastle's 11-game hit streak will be preserved unless he enters off the bench.

Nick Sogard SS | BOS
Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Logs two hits in loss
Sogard started at first base and went 2-for-3 in Friday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.
Sogard made his fifth start in the last six games and is 6-for-21 since his call-up from Triple-A Worcester. He's been seeing time at first base since Triston Casas suffered a season-ending knee injury, but considering the recent news that Kristian Campbell is taking reps at first base, per Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, Sogard could see his window of playing time close in the near future.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Astros' Christian Walker: Bat wakes up Friday
Walker went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
The first baseman put an exclamation point on a six-run rally by Houston in the seventh inning when he crushed a Shawn Armstrong fastball 410 feet to left-center field. Walker snapped an 0-for-16 mini-slump with the performance, while the long ball ended a 15-game homerless drought. The 34-year-old has yet to build much momentum to begin his tenure as an Astro, and through 180 plate appearances he's slashing just .210/.283/.358 with five homers, 18 RBI and 19 runs.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Drives in two runs Friday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Mets.
Goldschmidt got the Yankees on the board in the third inning on an infield RBI single and drove in a second run in the fourth. The veteran first baseman has tallied at least one RBI in five of his last seven games, and over that span he has gone 11-for-28 (.393) with one stolen base, seven runs scored, two home runs and seven RBI. Goldschmidt's .349 batting average is second-best in the majors behind teammate Aaron Judge (.414).

Ty France 1B | TOR
Twins' Ty France: Rejoining lineup Friday
France (foot) is starting at first base and batting cleanup Friday against the Brewers.
France sat the previous two contests after suffering a foot injury in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader, but he's back in action for Friday's series opener in Milwaukee. After posting a .745 OPS in his first 31 games of the year, France has struggled so far in May with a .217 average (10-for-46) and just two extra-base hits in 12 contests.

Xavier Isaac 1B | TB
Rays' Xavier Isaac: Returns to lineup
Isaac started at DH and went 0-for-1 with three walks Thursday for Double-A Montgomery. He had not played since May 4 for undisclosed reasons.
Isaac wasn't placed on the injured list or any other roster exemption, so it's not clear if he was nursing an injury. Isaac is slashing .229/.460/.543 with two home runs and one stolen base in 12 games this year.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
Rangers' Jake Burger: Supplies lone run in win
Burger went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Astros.
Burger took Hunter Brown deep in the sixth inning for what would be the lone scoring play in the contest. Since returning from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Burger has gone 4-for-12 with two extra-base hits, three RBI, two walks and three strikeouts. The right-handed-hitting infielder is likely to see a strong share of playing time at first base while Josh Smith is covering for Corey Seager (hamstring) at shortstop. Burger is slashing .214/.262/.375 with four homers, 15 RBI, 14 runs scored and six doubles across 122 plate appearances.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Homers in Thursday's loss
Guerrero went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Thursday's 8-3 loss to the Rays.
Guerrero has been steady at the plate lately, hitting safely in 15 of the last 16 games. In that span, he's gone 20-for-60 (.333) with three homers, eight RBI and a 12:14 BB:K. The first baseman's power isn't quite at the expected level with just five homers, but there's been little else to complain about with his play. He's slashing .294/.395/.438 with 20 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight doubles across 43 contests.
