Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Hits solo shot in season debut
O'Hearn went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Friday's 6-2 win over the Tigers.
He went yard off Tigers starter Casey Mize in the fourth inning. The 27-year-old O'Hearn had all of two homers in 42 games for the Royals last year, although he hit 14 in 105 contests in 2019. He batted fifth and served as the designated hitter Friday. It remains to be seen how often he'll play while he's on the big-league roster. Carlos Santana has an everyday job at O'Hearn's natural first base position, while Jorge Soler will often be the designated hitter.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Indians' Josh Naylor: Not starting Friday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.
With lefty Jordan Montgomery pitching for the Yankees, Naylor will head to the bench after starting the past two games. Jordan Luplow will start in right field and bat leadoff for Cleveland on Friday.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Officially promoted by Minnesota
Kirilloff was recalled from the alternate training site Friday.
The move was expected with Miguel Sano (hamstring) heading to the injured list, but Kirilloff has now officially been added to the big-league roster. The 23-year-old should take over the starting job at first base for the immediate future but could shift back to the outfield once Sano returns.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Joins big-league club
O'Hearn was recalled from the alternate training site Friday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
The 27-year-old missed out on the Opening Day roster but will join Kansas City ahead of Friday's series opener in Detroit. O'Hearn had a .604 OPS in 132 plate appearances during 2020 and should provide depth at first base and DH behind Carlos Santana and Jorge Soler.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Drives in two in return
France went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI on Thursday against the Red Sox.
After a one-game absence from the starting lineup due to a forearm injury, France showed no ill effects. He delivered a clutch two-out double in the sixth inning that drove in a pair and knotted the game at two. France has shown plenty of ability to hit for extra bases early on this season, having collected three home runs and five doubles across 79 plate appearances.

Alex Kirilloff LF | MIN
Twins' Alex Kirilloff: Ticketed for big leagues
Kirilloff is expected to be recalled by the Twins on Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Miguel Sano (hamstring) was placed on the injured list with a hamstring injury, and Kirilloff's promotion will be the corresponding move. He should see the majority of his at-bats at first base in Sano's absence. However, Kirilloff figures to remain in the lineup even after Sano returns, as he's an outfielder by trade.

Luke Voit 1B | NYM
Yankees' Luke Voit: Slated to take BP next week
Voit (knee) will report to the Yankees' alternate training site early next week, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
Voit resumed swinging Tuesday, and he'll likely be able to face live hitting once he reports to the team's alternate training site. Voit is still likely weeks away from his return to game action, but it's encouraging to see him ramp up his activities recently. DJ LeMahieu and Mike Ford should continue to fill in at first base in his absence.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Returns to lineup

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Heads to bench Thursday
Dalbec isn't starting Thursday's game against the Mariners, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Dalbec will get a breather after he went 4-for-7 with a triple and an RBI in the last two games. Marwin Gonzalez will start at first base Thursday, batting seventh.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Third-year breakout continues
Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, a run and an RBI in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Red Sox.
After reaching base four times, Guerrero's on-base average now sits at a robust .513, tops among all players with at least 50 plate appearances this season. Guerrero has paired elite plate discipline with improved power early on, as his .267 ISO is 67 points above his 2020 mark. Fantasy managers that drafted the 22-year-old in anticipation of a potential third-year breakout are more than satisfied with Guerrero's early returns.
