Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Recall depends on Springer
Tellez is expected to be recalled whenever George Springer (quadriceps) is able to play the outfield regularly, Gregor Chisholm of the Toronto Star reports.
Tellez was sent to the alternate site Wednesday because Springer is only able to serve as the designated hitter at the moment, leaving Tellez with nowhere to play. Chisholm says Springer's move to full-time outfield work isn't imminent, so we probably won't see Tellez back in the majors until early-to-mid May.

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Demoted to alternate site
Tellez was optioned to the Blue Jays' alternate training site Wednesday.
Even with Tellez hitting .183 with one home run and a 15:2 K:BB in 60 at-bats, this is a bit of a surprise move. With George Springer limited to designated-hitter duties, the Jays are opting to keep Jonathan Davis on the active roster in the short term to maintain outfield depth.
