Pasquantino went 4-for-7 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and two walks as the Royals swept Monday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

Pasquantino delivered a solo home run and an RBI single in the matinee, giving the Royals enough for a 3-1 win. He reached base four additional times in the nightcap, though he wasn't directly involved in any run production in that contest. These were the first baseman's first two multi-hit games in his big-league career. He boosted his slash line to .213/.362/.362 with two homers, three RBI, five runs scored and a double through 58 plate appearances across 14 games overall. He's often hit between fourth and sixth in the order -- though he batted third in Monday's second game -- and he should continue to see steady playing time as he adjusts to major-league pitching.

Clemens was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Clemens was 4-for-20 at the dish with two homers, three RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored through eight games in July, which includes Monday's twin bill. He'll be replaced on the big-league roster by Akil Baddoo.

Vaughn isn't starting Monday against the Guardians.

Vaughn returned to the lineup Saturday and went 1-for-8 with a double, two runs and a strikeout over the last two games. Eloy Jimenez is serving as the designated hitter while AJ Pollock starts in left field Monday.

Dalbec will start at third base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Rays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Dalbec will stick in the lineup for the fourth game in a row and should play regularly against both left- and right-handed pitching until Rafael Devers (back) is ready to rejoin the lineup. Even if Devers is able to put an end to his three-game absence Tuesday, he may serve as a designated hitter, as manager Alex Cora suggested that he wants to be cautious with the 25-year-old's usage on the Tropicana Field turf. If Devers ends up returning as a DH in Tampa Bay, Dalbec could still pick up a few more starts at third base before the All-Star break.

Naylor (back) is starting at first base and batting fourth Monday against the White Sox.

After he was a late scratch Sunday versus the Royals with back soreness, Naylor will be back in the lineup Monday. He's struggled to stay in the lineup recently while dealing with the back issue, but he currently owns a five-game hit streak, batting .500 with two homers, two RBI and three runs over 14 at-bats in those contests.

Diaz went 3-for-4 with a double two RBI in Sunday's 10-5 loss to Cincinnati.

Diaz knocked a two-run single off Nick Lodolo as part of Tampa Bay's three-run fourth inning. The 30-year-old is absolutely scorching of late; Sunday was the ninth multi-hit outing he's produced over his last 14 games. During that stretch, he's improved his season slash line from .257/.378/.333 to .299/.412/.395. Diaz is up to 20 RBI and 19 extra-base hits through 77 games.

Santana went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and a hit-by-pitch in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Santana's two blasts were both key hits -- his second-inning solo shot tied the game at 1-1, and he put the Mariners ahead for good with a two-run homer in the eighth. He's hit safely in six of his last eight games, going 10-for-27 (.370) with three homers, six RBI and eight runs scored in that span. In 64 contests between Seattle and Kansas City, Santana owns a .228/.359/.377 slash line with seven long balls, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored and 11 doubles, though it certainly looks like he's more comfortable with the Mariners since he was traded June 27.

Naylor (back) was scratched from the lineup Sunday against the Royals.

Naylor was held out of the lineup for four straight games with back spasms before rejoining the lineup Saturday, and he'll be absent again Sunday after initially being penciled in at first base. It's unclear how the injury will affect his availability for the upcoming four-game series against the White Sox, which begins Monday.

Abreu went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Tigers.

Abreu has turned in back-to-back two-hit games and has now built a 14-game hitting streak, with the veteran first baseman slashing .439/.467/.632 with a home run, eight doubles, 10 runs and eight RBI over that stretch. He'll get a day out of the field in Sunday's series finale and serve as the White Sox's designated hitter and cleanup batter.

The Rays recalled Raley from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

Raley was summoned from Triple-A after fellow outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (hip) landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. Josh Lowe and Brett Phillips are likely to serve as the primary replacements in center field for Kiermaier, so Raley will presumably be limited to a depth role while he's up with the big club for the second time this season.
