    Guardians' Josh Naylor: Knocks 20th double

    Naylor went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 win over the Twins.

    Naylor delivered an RBI single to open the scoring in the first inning. He also scored on both of Oscar Gonzalez's home runs in the contest. Through seven games in September, Naylor has hit .310 (9-for-29) with three extra-base hits, three RBI and three runs scored. The 25-year-old's bouncing back from a cold August, and he's up to a .265/.318/.457 slash line with 17 homers, 20 doubles, five stolen bases, 64 RBI and 38 runs scored through 101 games this year.

    Casas isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Orioles.

    Casas started the last five games and went 2-for-18 with a two-run home run, two walks and seven strikeouts. He'll get a day off while Christian Arroyo starts at first base and bats seventh.

    Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: No longer experiencing headaches

    Rizzo (head) received a blood patch Friday, which has helped alleviate his migraines, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

    Rizzo received an epidural injection last week to address lower-back pain, and he was experiencing headaches in recent days. The 33-year-old rejoined the Yankees on Saturday and is expected to ramp up baseball activities. Manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that he hopes Rizzo will be able to return prior to the end of the Yankees' upcoming road trip.

    Mariners' Carlos Santana: Clubs two long balls

    Santana went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI during Friday's 6-4 loss to Atlanta.

    Santana provided nearly all of Seattle's offense with a two-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the seventh, both off Atlanta starter Charlie Morton. The power surge follows a 2-for-24 stretch, but three of the 36-year-old's last four hits have left the yard. Santana has connected on 10 home runs in 56 games since joining Seattle, though he's slashing just .179/.291/.382 for his new club.

    Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Could start ramping back up

    Rizzo (head) will attempt to resume baseball activities soon and could start ramping back up if his headaches are gone, per MLB.com.

    Rizzo has been dealing with migraines since receiving an epidural injection last week to alleviate the pain in his lower back. He was directed by doctors to rest for 48 hours before attempting to resume activities, and he's scheduled to start "moving around" Friday. If that goes well and the headaches have subsided, Rizzo could be on track to return when eligible next week.

    Royals' Nick Pratto: On bench Friday

    Pratto isn't starting Friday against the Tigers.

    Pratto is getting a day off after he went 2-for-14 with three walks and six strikeouts over the last four games. Vinnie Pasquantino will take over at first base and bat cleanup.

  • Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Reinstated from IL

    Pasquantino (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

    The 24-year-old was placed on the injured list in late August due to right shoulder discomfort and began his rehab assignment in Triple-A Omaha on Saturday. Pasquantino went 3-for-14 with three RBI in his four rehab games. Brent Rooker will be sent down to Omaha in a corresponding move to open a roster spot for Pasquantino.

    Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Absent from Friday's lineup

    Gurriel isn't starting Friday against the Angels.

    Gurriel is resting after he went 1-for-11 with two RBI and two strikeouts over the last three games. Trey Mancini will start at first base and bat sixth.

    Tigers' Josh Lester: Sent down Thursday

    Lester was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

    Lester's contract was selected Sunday, and he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts over two games with the big-league club. He'll head back to the minors after Jonathan Scoop (ankle) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday.
