O'Hearn is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Blue Jays.

O'Hearn is not starting with lefty Yusei Kikuchi taking the mound for the Blue Jays. Ryan Mountcastle will move to first base, Adley Rutschman will move to designated hitter and James McCann will enter the lineup and slot in behind the dish.

Naylor (oblique) resumed fielding ground balls Aug. 10 and has begun incorporating other baseball activities into his rehab regimen, MLB.com reports.

Naylor was placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 4 with a right oblique strain and was given a loose recovery timeline of 3-to-6 weeks. He's closing in on the short end of that timeframe, but the Guardians haven't provided any clear indication that Naylor will be ready to return from the IL before the end of August. Until reports indicate that Naylor is taking full batting practice, running the bases and taking part in full defensive drills at first base, his return to the Cleveland lineup shouldn't be viewed as imminent.

Noda (jaw), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, went 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs in a win over the Royals on Monday.

Noda picked up right where he left off in both his four-game rehab assignment and his pre-IL-stint at the big-league level. The rookie's walk rate is up to a stellar 17.9 percent following Monday's pair of free passes, helping lead to an elite .382 on-base percentage for the season. Now that he's back to full health, Noda should return to a near-everyday role while primarily logging time at first base.

Lowe went 1-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Diamondbacks.

Lowe put the Rangers on top with a two-run double in the top of the 11th, but Will Smith was unable to hold the lead. The first baseman has hit safely in four consecutive games with two doubles, a home run and four RBI, but his torrid finish to July turned into a meek August. Lowe, who batted .404 over 15 games coming out of the All-Star break, is batting .231 over 19 games during the current month.

Torkelson went 4-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Monday's loss against the Cubs.

Torkelson got the Tigers on the board with a solo homer off Javier Assad in the sixth inning. The 23-year-old Torkelson is up to 23 homers on the year, with eight in his last 12 games -- he's gone 17-for-43 (.395) over that span. With his recent hot streak, Torkelson's slash line is up to .239/.319/.452 with 69 RBI and 67 runs scored across 526 plate appearances in his sophomore campaign.

The Athletics reinstated Noda (jaw) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Noda will rejoin the big club after he recently completed a four-game rehab stint with Triple-A Las Vegas, during which he went 4-for-10 with two home runs and two doubles. Before fracturing his jaw in mid-July, Noda had been one of the Athletics' more productive hitters, and he should immediately reclaim a near-everyday spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching. The Athletics demoted Tyler Soderstrom to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Singleton is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Since his big two-homer, five-RBI effort in a 11-3 win over the Angels on Aug. 11, Singleton has fallen into a 1-for-25 rut at the plate over his subsequent eight contests. Though Jose Abreu (back) remains on the injured list and without a clear timeline for a return, Singleton's ongoing slump may have cost him his role as the Astros' primary first baseman. Singleton will hit the bench for the second time in three games while the hot-hitting Yainer Diaz picks up another start at first base at his expense.

Vaughn is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a homer in Sunday's contest, but manager Pedro Grifol decided it was time for a day off. Gavin Sheets will get the nod at first base Monday night.

Casas (tooth) will start at first base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Astros, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Casas missed a pair of games with a tooth infection, but he was examined earlier Monday and was deemed ready to return to action. He'll occupy his usual spot at first base and look to continue his big post-All-Star break run. Through 32 second-half contests, Casas is maintaining a .323 average to go with 11 home runs, 21 RBI and 20 runs.

Noda (jaw) started in right field and played seven innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Reno on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a two-run homer, a walk and an additional run.

Noda was able to play defense for the second consecutive night and looked to be no worse for wear while slugging a pair of round-trippers. The 27-year-old has gone 4-for-10 with two doubles, the pair of homers, five RBI, eight walks and seven runs across four rehab games with the Aviators, supporting the notion he's ready to be activated at any time.
