Singleton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies in Mexico City, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The lefty-hitting Singleton seems to have moved into the strong side of a platoon at first base of late with the struggling Jose Abreu, though Abreu got the start in Saturday's 12-4 win against Rockies right-hander Cal Quantrill. After going 2-for-5 with two RBI in the win, Abreu will stick in the lineup Sunday against southpaw Austin Gomber. It's unclear if the Astros plan to bring Singleton back in the starting nine the next time they face off against a righty.

Diaz (finger) is starting at first base and batting leadoff Sunday against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 32-year-old sat out Saturday after being hit by a pitch in the left pinky finger Friday, but he'll rejoin the starting nine after missing just one game. Diaz is hitting .324 in his past nine contests, though he's slugging just .378 during that stretch and has not hit a home run since Opening Day.

Vaughn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Vaughn started the past six games but will head to the bench Sunday after going 5-for-24 during that stretch. Gavin Sheets will shift to first base while Robbie Grossman starts in right field.

Pasquantino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

With the Royals wrapping up their series with a day game and with ace lefty Tarik Skubal on the bump for the Tigers, Kansas City manager Matt Quatraro likely felt that it was an opportune time to give the lefty-hitting Pasquantino a game off. Pasquantino had started in each of the Royals' last 14 games and had gone hitless over the past five contests.

Torkelson is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Torkelson is 1-for-17 with six strikeouts over his past four games and will hit the bench for Sunday's series finale versus Kansas City. Mark Canha will shift to first base while Wenceel Perez receives a start in the outfield.

Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and three total runs scored in Saturday's 15-3 rout against Milwaukee.

Rizzo hit one of four long balls for the Yankees in the contest, contributing a two-run shot to right field in the sixth inning. After beginning the season with just one home run over his first 23 games, Rizzo's power stroke has resurfaced of late, as he's belted three homers over his past five contests. The veteran first baseman is hitting .350 with five RBI and five runs over that stretch.

France went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

France gave the Mariners some valuable breathing room in the seventh, extending a one-run lead via a 410-foot shot to left center with Jorge Polanco aboard. It was the second homer in three games for France, who previously hadn't left the yard over his first 21 games of the campaign.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's victory over the Angels.

Santana hit a home run for a third consecutive game. After slumping to begin the season (.347 OPS and one extra base hit in his first 16 games), he's 5-for-12 with three homers and a double in his last three contests.

Shenton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a walk Saturday in an extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

Shenton came into the contest having gone 0-for-8 with three strikeouts over his previous four contests, but he turned things around with the opportunity to start at first base and work as the Rays' cleanup hitter. The 26-year-old enjoyed a personal highlight with a solo shot to left field in the fifth inning for his first major-league long ball. Shelton slugged 29 homers over 134 minor-league games last year, so he could be an intriguing source of power if given more opportunity.

Cabbage went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI on Saturday against the Rockies.

Cabbage was called up to serve as Houston's 27th man for the Mexico City Series, and he was immediately slotted into the lineup to make his 2024 debut. He delivered the RBI knock in his first plate appearance, though he was pulled in the sixth inning in favor of pinch hitter Mauricio Dubon. Cabbage will almost certainly be back with Triple-A Sugar Land after the team's weekend series abroad, where he's maintained a .271 batting average while also striking out 31.9 percent of the time across 91 plate appearances.
