Lowe went 1-for-4 in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Yankees.

Lowe was back in the lineup after getting a breather Sunday in favor of prospect Justin Foscue, which was notable. Given the plight of the Rangers, who are 9.5 games back of the final wild-card spot, the club may use the final month of the season to develop its younger talent, and Lowe could lose playing time as a result.

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run homer and a stolen base in Monday's 4-2 win over the Royals.

Naylor took reliever Kris Bubic deep in the sixth inning for his 29th home run of the season. Naylor reached 100 RBI for the first time in his career with the long ball. The 27-year-old now joins Aaron Judge and teammate Jose Ramirez as the only three players this season to eclipse the century mark. Naylor has multi-hit efforts in four of his last five games following a 10-game stretch during which he went 2-for-35.

Gurriel was lifted from Monday's game against the Guardians in the eighth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Gurriel doubled in his third plate appearance of the day but pulled up lame into second base. The 40-year-old had been dealing with a hamstring strain while at Triple-A Gwinnett before being traded to the Royals, and he has aggravated the injury in just the second game with his new club. Interim manager Paul Hoover said after the game it's considered a "super mild strain" and implied that Gurriel is day-to-day.

Mountcastle (wrist) has yet to resume swinging a bat, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde admitted Monday that while Mountcastle's sprained left wrist is feeling better, he has "no idea" regarding a potential timetable for the first baseman's return. Mountcastle initially suffered the injury Aug. 22 before landing on the 10-day injured list Aug. 26. Ryan O'Hearn and Emmanuel Rivera have been handling first base with Mountcastle out.

Santana is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Tampa Bay.

Santana was also out of the lineup for Sunday's win over the Blue Jays, although he received a couple plate appearances off the bench. The veteran switch hitter has gone 5-for-29 at the plate over his last nine contests, and the slump might be starting to cost him some playing time. Jose Miranda will pick up a second straight start at first base.

Vaughn is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Baltimore.

Vaughn and Gavin Sheets have been alternating starts between first base and designated hitter over the last several weeks, but Vaughn will get a day off for Monday's series opener. Sheets will start at first base, and Corey Julks is in the lineup at DH.

Singleton went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Sunday against the Royals.

Singleton has fallen into a rotation at first base with Yainer Diaz, Victor Caratini and Zach Dezenzo, leaving him with starts every two to three games. He was in the lineup Sunday hitting sixth and delivered his 12th home run of the season, which was also his third long ball in his last 11 appearances.

Brown went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple, a walk and a run in an extra-inning loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Brown provided one of four multi-hit efforts on the afternoon for the Athletics, and his first triple of 2024 drove home Shea Langeliers in the 10th inning to snap a 2-2 tie. Brown now has multi-hit tallies in four consecutive starts, with Sunday's three-bagger his third extra-base hit in that stretch. His hot bat dates further back, however -- factoring in Sunday's production, the veteran outfielder boasts a .375 average across his last nine games.

Torkelson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Red Sox.

Torkelson's two-run blast in the fifth was the first hit of the day for the Tigers and provided a lead they would not relinquish. It was Torkelson's eighth homer of the season and his fourth in 15 games since returning to the majors.

Kavadas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

The left-handed-hitting Kavadas' run as a regular in the Angels lineup could be coming to an end; he'll now head to the bench for the second straight matchup with a right-hander. Since getting called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Aug. 16, Kavadas has gone 3-for-34 (.088 average) with one home run and a 48.6 percent strikeout rate.
