  • Predators' Jack Ahcan: Secures two-year deal

Ahcan agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract with Nashville on Wednesday, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports. Ahcan will face an uphill battle when it comes to securing a spot on the Predators' blue line. The 29-year-old played in just 11 regular-season games for Colorado in 2025-26, notching two assists, six hits and eight shots. Even if he does make Nashville's roster out of training camp, Ahcan doesn't offer enough offensive upside or category coverage to be worth taking in most fantasy formats.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Returns to AHL

Ahcan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Thursday. Ahcan made three appearances during the Avalanche's playoff run, going minus-3 with seven blocked shots and four hits. The 29-year-old defenseman will resume his participation with the Eagles as they begin the AHL's Western Conference Finals on Thursday versus AHL Chicago.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Back with big club

Ahcan was summoned from AHL Colorado on Monday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports. Ahcan participated in the Avalanche's morning skate ahead of Game 4 against Minnesota on Monday. He will be an option as a spare defender, but he will probably be a healthy scratch.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Sent down to minors

Ahcan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Friday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. Ahcan was left behind to suit up for AHL Colorado in the Calder Cup Playoffs thanks to the potential return of Josh Manson (upper body) from injury. The 28-year-old Ahcan logged 11 regular-season games with the Avs this year, but he has yet to feature in a postseason tilt. If the Eagles are eliminated from their playoff race, Ahcan will likely rejoin the Avalanche.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Elevated from minors

Ahcan has been brought up from AHL Colorado, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic on Tuesday. Josh Manson's (upper body) availability for Game 2 against the Wild on Tuesday is in question, so Ahcan will provide the Avalanche with another option on the blue line. Nick Blankenburg has filled in while Manson has been out. Ahcan had a great regular season with the Eagles in 2025-26, generating 11 goals, 50 points and a plus-24 rating over 61 appearances. Should he draw into the lineup for the Avalanche in the postseason, it will be in a third-pairing role.

He's received some call-ups to the Avalanche in 2025-26 as well, earning two assists over nine contests. Ahcan has typically been the first blueliner to be recalled when the NHL roster is at less than full strength on defense.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Four points in AHL win Tuesday

Ahcan scored a goal and added three assists in AHL Colorado's 6-5 overtime win over Calgary on Tuesday. Ahcan made six appearances with the Avalanche earlier in the season, thanks to a hot start with the Eagles combined with injuries on the NHL roster. The defenseman is heating up again with two goals and eight helpers over his last four contests in the AHL, which puts him in a good spot for a call-up should more injuries occur for the Avalanche. Ahcan has earned four goals, 19 points and a plus-13 rating across 20 appearances in the AHL this season.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Brought up Monday

Ahcan was recalled from AHL Colorado on Monday. The Avalanche had only six healthy blueliners before promoting Ahcan, so the 28-year-old will likely serve as the teams's seventh defenseman until Samuel Girard (upper body) is back in the lineup. Ahcan has played well with the Eagles so far this season, producing one goal, eight points and a plus-6 rating across seven appearances.

The Avalanche are off until Friday's game in Vegas, so Ahcan will head back to the minors for at least a couple of days. The 28-year-old defenseman earned his first NHL assist -- and second career point -- in Tuesday's victory, which was his second appearance for the Avalanche this season.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Recalled from minors

Ahcan was called up from AHL Colorado on Friday. Ahcan was a healthy scratch in four Colorado games before he was sent to the minors Saturday. • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Headed for minors

Ahcan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Wednesday. Ahcan played in just two regular-season games for the Avalanche last year and will likely face similar challenges getting into the lineup this season. Even if there are injuries to the blue line, Ahcan likely will find himself behind Ilya Solovyov (not injury related) on the team's depth chart.
