Skinner got his first taste of NHL action with the Blues in 2025-26 against Philadelphia on Nov. 14. He recorded seven goals, 12 assists and 61 PIM across 60 regular-season appearances with AHL Springfield last year. He will likely spend most of his time in the minors in the 2026-27 campaign.

Skinner joined the Blues on a two-way deal during the offseason, but he'll be left off the team's Opening Night roster ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. He hasn't yet made his regular-season debut in the NHL and will likely head to AHL Springfield if he clears waivers.

Skinner signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with St. Louis on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.
This is a two-way deal for Skinner. The 24-year-old defenseman logged eight goals, 23 points, 98 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 71 regular-season appearances with AHL Springfield in 2024-25. A fourth-round selection by the Rangers in 2019, Skinner has yet to make his NHL debut, so he'll provide organizational depth for St. Louis this coming season.
