Trudeau signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Rangers on Monday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.
Trudeau was traded to the Rangers from the Canadiens on June 26, and he reached an agreement on a two-way deal with his new club just over a week later. He's spent the past four seasons with AHL Laval, and it seems likely that he'll spend most of his time in the minors once again during the 2026-27 campaign.

Rangers' William Trudeau: Traded to Blueshirts
Rotowire
Trudeau was traded to the Rangers from the Canadiens on Friday in exchange for Brett Berard, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Trudeau has played exclusively for AHL Laval over the past four seasons, most recently recording eight goals, 12 assists and 54 PIM across 62 regular-season appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. He'll get a change of scenery ahead of the 2026-27 season, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most, or all, of his time in the minors once again.
