  • Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Cleared for Sunday

Fuaga (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers, Jeff Nowak of WWL Radio reports. Fuaga upgraded to a full participant in Friday's practice, just in time to dodge an injury designation for Sunday's divisional clash. The Saints are out of the playoff race, but a healthy right tackle for Tyler Shough will help them try to spoil the Panthers' shot at a division title.

  • Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Limited in practice

Fuaga (ankle) was a limited participant in New Orleans' practice Wednesday. Fuaga's still battling the ankle injury that has kept him out of the team's last three games. If the 2024 first-round pick ends up being healthy enough to play in Sunday's matchup versus the Panthers, he should resume his role as the Saints' starting right tackle.

Fuaga (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Erin Summers of ESPN reports. Fuaga has missed two of the Saints' last three games as he continues to recover from a high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 9 against the Rams, and he'll sit out again in Week 14. Fuaga (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game versus Atlanta, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Fuaga suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 9 and missed the Saints' Week 10 contest prior to last week's bye. Asim Richards started in Fuaga's place two weeks back and would be in line to handle those reps again if Fuaga is unable to play Sunday.

The 2024 first-round pick from Oregon State upgraded from a DNP on Wednesday to limited sessions Thursday and Friday, suggesting he's trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's contest. • Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Should be good for Week 1

Head coach Dennis Allen said Fuaga's back injury shouldn't be anything to worry about as far as his availability for Week 1 of the regular season, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
