  • Luke Grimm: Gets waived from IR

The Chargers waived Grimm (undisclosed) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log. He spent the majority of the 2025 campaign on the Chargers' practice squad as a rookie undrafted free agent, but he is still waiting to make his regular-season debut.

Grimm (undisclosed) reverted to the Chargers' injured-reserve list Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log. Grimm was waived with an injury designation Wednesday and went unclaimed on waivers. • Luke Grimm: Gets cut with injury

The Chargers waived Grimm (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday. It's not exactly clear what happened to Grimm, but unless he's picked up by another club off of waivers, he'll be in line to spend the entire 2026 season on the Chargers' injured reserve list. In a corresponding transaction, the Chargers signed wide receiver Liam Clifford.

  • Luke Grimm: Rejoins Chargers' practice squad

Los Angeles signed Grimm to the practice squad Tuesday. Grimm spent the regular season bouncing on and off the Chargers' practice squad, and he now rejoins the unit as Los Angeles prepares for Sunday's wild-card round matchup against the Patriots. An undrafted rookie out of Kansas, Grimm is still looking for a chance to make his regular-season or playoff debut.

  • Luke Grimm: Released from practice squad

The Chargers cut Grimm from the practice squad Tuesday. Grimm was re-signed to the practice squad Nov. 12 due to the injuries to starting wide receivers Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston. With the Chargers' wide receiver room in good health, the need for Grimm appears to have diminished. The wide receiver's release was coordinated with the release of tackle David Sharpe to make room for center Josh Kaltenberger and tackle Foster Sarell on the practice squad.

  • Luke Grimm: Joins Chargers' practice squad

The Chargers signed Grimm to their practice squad Sunday. Grimm didn't make Los Angeles' initial 53-man roster after being signed as an undrafted free agent in late April. However, the Kansas product will get a chance to develop on the team's practice squad. His ability to work as both a receiver and kick returner could help his chances of eventually getting a look on the active roster.
