  • Falcons' Chris Williams: Signs with Atlanta

The Falcons have agreed to a one-year deal with Williams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Williams is set to make $2 million for the 2026 season as he heads to Atlanta on a one-year deal. The 27-year-old ended 2025 with 14 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, in 14 regular-season games with the Bears. The five-year pro will likely act as a rotational defensive lineman for the Falcons.

  • Bears' Chris Williams: Staying in Chicago

The Bears re-signed Williams on Monday. Chicago tendered Williams in early March, and the 26-year-old will be back for a second year with the organization for the 2025 season. Williams worked in a rotational role last season, posting 23 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, over 17 games after not logging any time in the NFL in 2023. He'll likely have a similar role in 2025, though it's worth noting that Williams logged at least 46 percent of Chicago's defensive snaps in each of the team's final five games, so he could see the field relatively often if he performs well.

  • Bears' Chris Williams: Tendered by Chicago

The Bears placed a right to refusal tender on Williams on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The move allows Chicago to match any contract offer that Williams receives from another team. He was traded by the Colts to the Bears in August and appeared in all 17 regular-season games in 2024, posting 23 tackles (17 solo), including 3.0 sacks, over that span.

  • Bears' Chris Williams: Traded to Chicago

Williams was traded to the Bears from the Browns on Saturday, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports. Chicago flipped a sixth-round pick to Cleveland for Williams and a seventh rounder, per Mayer. The defensive tackle will try to stick with the Bears through cutdown day Tuesday. Williams entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Colts in 2020 and appeared in 13 games between 2021 and '22.

  • Colts' Chris Williams: Out with foot injury

Williams, who was injured in the first practice of training camp, was wearing a boot on his right foot and did not participate in Saturday's practice, the Indianapolis Star reports. Williams is competing for a backup spot on the defensive line, so he will surely benefit if the injury is short term in nature.
