  • Ravens' Cornelius Johnson: Staying in Baltimore

The Ravens signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract Monday, Justin Robertson of the team's official site reports. Johnson joined the Ravens' practice squad in early September after failing to make the Packers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was not elevated to the active roster, but the 2024 seventh-rounder will stay in Baltimore as a member of the team's 90-man roster following the Super Bowl. Johnson will participate in OTAs, minicamp and training camp for the Ravens and will aim at earning a spot on the team's active roster for the 2026 campaign.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Gets look from Ravens

Baltimore signed Johnson to a practice-squad contract Tuesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports. Johnson was with the Packers during training camp but didn't make the team's 53-man roster. He'll now get a chance to display his skill set with Baltimore in hope of eventually being elevated for a game. Johnson has yet to play in a regular-season NFL contest.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Let go from Green Bay

The Packers waived Johnson on Tuesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. Johnson was a seventh-round pick by the Chargers last year and has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game. This preseason, Johnson logged 78 offensive snaps and caught six of his seven targets for 50 scoreless yards.

  • Packers' Cornelius Johnson: Staying with Packers

Green Bay signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract Monday. Johnson was selected by the Chargers in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 253rd overall. Despite his Michigan connection with Chargers' head coach Jim Harbaugh, Johnson was unable to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp and was cut from the practice squad Sept. 2. Johnson was able to catch on with the Packers' practice squad Sept. 18, though he wasn't elevated to the active roster during the 2024 season. Johnson will stick around in Green Bay during the offseason, where he will have the opportunity to show off his potential to the coaching staff during OTAs, minicamp and training camp ahead of the 2025 campaign.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Joins Packers' practice squad

The Packers signed Johnson to their practice squad Wednesday. Johnson, a 2024 seventh-round pick out of Michigan, was dropped from the Chargers' practice squad earlier in September, but he's found a new opportunity in Green Bay. The 23-year-old wideout posted a 47-604-1 receiving line during his final collegiate season.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Off Bolts' practice squad

The Chargers cut Johnson from their practice squad Monday. The 2024 seventh-round pick out of Michigan appeared to be sticking around in Los Angeles after failing to make the Chargers' initial 53-man roster in late August, but he's now been dropped. In a corresponding move, the Chargers signed wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick to their practice squad Monday.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Sticks around with Bolts

Johnson signed with the Chargers' practice squad Wednesday. Johnson was the Chargers' seventh-round selection of the 2024 NFL Draft, so it doesn't come as a surprise that he was signed to the taxi squad after failing to make the 53-man roster. He could be promoted to the active roster should any of the Bolts' wide receivers miss time.

  • Cornelius Johnson: Doesn't make Bolts' 53-man roster

The Chargers waived Johnson on Tuesday. The Chargers drafted Johnson in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 253rd overall, and the Michigan wide receiver followed head coach Jim Harbaugh to Los Angeles. Johnson spent the offseason and training camp competing for a depth spot at wide receiver, but he wasn't able to record a catch until the Bolts' preseason finale against the Cowboys, when he finished with three receptions on seven targets for 34 yards. Given the fact that Johnson is a late-round draft pick, he'll likely be invited back on the Chargers' practice squad, assuming another team doesn't pick him up off waivers.

  • Chargers' Cornelius Johnson: Joins Harbaugh in Los Angeles

The Chargers selected Johnson in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 253rd overall. The popular assumption was the Chargers would invest a number of draft picks in former Michigan players to join Jim Harbaugh in his new digs, but Johnson represents just the second maize and blue to be drafted by Los Angeles. At 6-foot-3, 228 pounds, Johnson proved to be a capable receiver in his five seasons at Ann Arbor, tallying 1,730 receiving yards and 119 receptions over the final three campaigns in the run-heavy offense. It's hard to imagine Johnson finally breaking out as a quality target despite all of his physical gifts, but at least alongside Harbaugh, he'll have some familiarity from a leadership perspective.
