  • Bears' Nahshon Wright: Lands in Windy City

The Bears signed Wright to a one-year contract Tuesday, Adam Hoge of AllCHGO.com reports. Wright appeared in one game for Minnesota last season, in which he played 15 snaps on special teams and saw no work on defense. The 2021 third-round pick likewise contributed more on special teams than defense during his three years with Dallas, priming him to now compete for a similar role in Chicago.

  • Nahshon Wright: Let go by Minnesota

The Vikings released Wright on Monday. Minnesota traded for Wright last August in a deal with Dallas for Andrew Booth. Wright ended up playing in just one game for the Vikings, logging 15 snaps on special teams and none on defense. He played more on special teams than on defense during his three years with the Cowboys as well and would likely be asked to accept a similar role if he lands with another organization.

  • Vikings' Nahshon Wright: Sent to North Star State

Dallas traded Wright to the Vikings on Friday in exchange for Andrew Booth, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Wright will join Minnesota after spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Cowboys. The 6-foot-4 cornerback will join the Vikings as the likely backup to Shaquill Griffin but may see more opportunities in the preseason due to Griffin battling a leg injury as of late.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: No injury status for Week 6

Wright (ankle) was a full participant in practice this week and could be activated for Monday's contest against the Chargers, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Wright was competing for a depth secondary spot in training camp, but he was placed on IR ahead of the 53-man roster deadline after sustaining an ankle injury. If he's activated for Week 6, he could see a large role right out the gate with Trevon Diggs (knee) out for the season and C.J. Goodwin (pectoral) ruled out of Monday's contest. Wright posted 23 tackles (17 solo), four pass deflections and an interception in seven games last season.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Designated to return

Wright (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Thursday. Wright was placed on IR in late August after suffering an ankle injury, and it seems as if he's recovered enough to start practicing again. The 25-year-old corner has a chance to play during Dallas' Week 6 matchup against the Chargers if he's activated from IR before Monday night's contest. Once Wright is activated, expect him to play a rotational role in the Cowboys' secondary.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Nine tackles, INT in win

Wright recorded nine tackles (six solo) while recording an interception and two pass deflections in Thursday's 27-13 win over the Titans. Wright led the team in tackles Thursday, registering a season-high nine stops in the victory. He was also able to snag his first interception of the campaign, picking off Joshua Dobbs late in the fourth quarter. On the campaign, Wright has compiled 22 tackles, four pass deflections and an interception over six contests.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Placed on COVID-19 list

Dallas placed Wright (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Nick Eatman of the Cowboys' official site reports. Wright tested positive for the virus and will likely be sidelined for Thursday's contest against the Saints. The rookie cornerback has mostly played special teams this season, so if he is unavailable, it shouldn't have an impact on Dallas' defensive rotations.
