  • Jets' Breece Hall: Three fourth-quarter TDs in win

Hall (knee) rushed 18 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns, caught two of three targets for 14 yards and threw a four-yard touchdown pass in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals. Hall scored his first touchdown of the season on a five-yard run early in the fourth quarter, then doubled that total with a 27-yard touchdown run that featured some impressive footwork to stay inbounds along the sideline. He capped the improbable fourth-quarter comeback with a four-yard touchdown pass to Mason Taylor, as the ensuing PAT gave the Jets their first lead of the game with 1:54 remaining before the defense closed the door. Hall will have a Week 9 bye to help his recovery from a knee injury that limited his practice participation and had him listed as questionable heading into Sunday's win, and he should reprise his role as the team's top backfield option in Week 10 against the Browns.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Cleared to play Week 8

Hall (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Though Hall took a questionable tag into the weekend, the Jets didn't provide any indication that he was at major risk of sitting out Sunday after he turned in a full practice Friday. After averaging 5.3 yards per carry and 8.8 yards per reception through the Jets' first five games, Hall has struggled to find open running room in the last two contests, losses to Denver and Carolina. In those matchups, he took 33 carries for 97 yards (2.9 YPC) while producing a 2-14-0 receiving line on three targets. Hall's lack of productivity of late has been in some part tied to the poor play of quarterback Justin Fields, who struggled to move the offense in both of the past two weeks and appeared to be at risk of losing his starting job heading into Week 8. At least for one more game, however, Fields will retain the starting role for New York after Tyrod Taylor (knee) was ruled out in advance of Sunday's contest.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Slated to suit up Sunday

Hall (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cincinnati, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Hall dealt with a knee injury throughout the week and was limited in practice both Wednesday and Thursday. However, the fourth-year tailback was able to practice in full Friday, setting him up to take the field against the Bengals, barring a setback. He'll again be getting the ball handed and tossed to him by Justin Fields, who was announced as the team's starting quarterback for Week 8 on Saturday after some uncertainty about a change under center during the week. Veteran Tyrod Taylor (knee) has been ruled out for Week 8.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable after full practice

Hall (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals after practicing fully Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. After being limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, Hall's ability to work fully Friday bodes well for his chances of being available versus Cincinnati. Fortunately for those considering the running back in Week 8 fantasy lineups, the Jets kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. In the event that Hall is limited or out this weekend, Isaiah Davis and Khalil Herbert would be next in line for the 0-7 Jets' backfield snaps.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Questionable for Sunday

Hall (knee) is viewed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports. Hall was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, with his participation level Friday slated to add further context with regard to his Week 8 availability. Per Allen, coach Aaron Glenn noted Friday of Hall and several other Jets who are listed as questionable that he likes "the way those guys are trending." If Hall ends up limited or out Sunday, however, Isaiah Davis and Khalil Herbert would be next in line for backfield snaps, given that Kene Nwangwu (concussion) won't be available versus Cincinnati.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Another limited practice

Hall (knee) remained a limited participant at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. A pair of limited sessions to begin Week 8 prep puts the focus on what Hall is able to do at Friday's practice with regard to his standing ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. If Hall ends up having his snaps managed or sits out entirely versus Cincinnati, Isaiah Davis would be the next man up in the New York backfield.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Limited by knee issue

Hall (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Hall logged a 54 percent snap share in this past Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers en route carrying 11 times for 38 yards and adding two catches on three targets for 14 yards. Now that's been deemed a limited participant in practice Wednesday, the running back's status is worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Bengals. If Hall ends up limited or sidelined versus Cincinnati, Isaiah Davis would be in line to see added backfield snaps in Week 8.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Big workload in London loss

Hall rushed 22 times for 59 yards and recovered a fumble in the Jets' 13-11 loss to the Broncos on Sunday in London. Hall's workload was his largest of the season yet, as the Broncos and Jets engaged in a slugfest where pass protection was at a premium for Justin Fields, who was sacked nine times. Turning to Hall didn't yield particularly encouraging dividends for New York, however, as Denver's talented defense held the running back to a long run of eight yards. Hall had come in on an encouraging two-game stretch where he'd amassed 194 yards on 28 carries against the suspect defenses of the Dolphins and Cowboys, but the notable increase in the caliber of competition Sunday served to neutralize him. Hall and the Jets get an easier assignment in their return stateside, as the Panthers will pay a visit to MetLife Stadium next Sunday for a Week 7 interconference clash.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Big yardage again in loss

Hall carried the ball 14 times for 113 yards and caught four of five targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys. The running back briefly left the game in the first half after fumbling in the red zone late in the second quarter, but Hall returned in the second half and racked up some big yardage once again in a losing effort. The 113 rushing yards were a season high for the fourth-year RB, as were the 42 receiving yards, but he's still looking for his first touchdown of 2025 -- something he came agonizing close to in the fourth quarter, when he was tackled just short of the goal line on a 16-yard reception. Hall will look to get into the end zone in Week 6 against a Broncos defense that just gave up a 47-yard receiving TD to Saquon Barkley, but otherwise held him in check.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Racks up 111 yards on MNF

Hall carried the ball 14 times for 81 yards while bringing in five of six targets for 30 yards in Monday's 27-21 loss to the Dolphins. Hall bounced back from a pair of ugly outings by cracking the century mark in total yards for the second time this season. Braelon Allen (4-26-0) was nearly splitting work with the starter before exiting the game in the first half after taking a shot to his knee. The injury forced offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand to give Hall -- the Jets' obvious top rushing option -- enough touches to actually generate positive fantasy results. The 24-year-old has yet to hit pay dirt through four starts, a trend Hall will aim to buck in a tasty matchup on paper against the Cowboys on Sunday.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Held in check by Bucs

Hall carried the ball nine times for 21 yards and caught four of six targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Buccaneers. The fourth-year RB posted disappointing numbers for the second straight week as Hall drifted closer to a full timeshare with Braelon Allen, seeing 13 touches to the younger back's eight and barely out-producing him (52 yards to 47). Hall is still looking for his first TD of 2025, and through three contests he's averaging 4.1 yards per carry on 38 totes. He'll try to break out in Week 4 against a Dolphins defense that just got gashed for 108 yards and a touchdown by the Bills' James Cook.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Modest production in Week 2 loss

Hall rushed 10 times for 29 yards and caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Bills. Hall finished second on the team in both rushing yards and receiving yards, as Garrett Wilson (50) was the only Jet to reach double digits in the latter category. Justin Fields couldn't get anything going through the air prior to sustaining a concussion in the fourth quarter, and the lack of any passing threat made it hard for Hall to find any holes against a front-loaded Bills defense. Backup Braelon Allen handled just two carries, so at least Hall's locked in as the lead back heading into a Week 3 trip to Tampa Bay.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Racks up 145 scrimmage yards

Hall rushed 19 times for 107 yards and caught two of four targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 34-32 loss to the Steelers. Hall ripped off an 18-yard run on the game's first play, setting the tone for a strong performance on the ground. He was also the team's second-leading receiver behind Garrett Wilson. Braelon Allen had an eight-yard touchdown run but mustered only one yard on five other carries, so Hall's the clear lead back for the Jets heading into a Week 2 home game against the Bills.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Three carries in preseason opener

Hall rushed three times for nine yards and wasn't targeted during the Jets' 30-10 preseason win over the Packers on Saturday night. The fourth-year pro had a chance to share a backfield with new quarterback Justin Fields for the first time in a game setting, and Hall took a pair of handoffs from the latter on the Jets' first two plays from scrimmage. Hall would net five yards on those carries and log one more touch on a first down in the red zone during the same possession, but Braelon Allen also saw action during the drive. Hall's night was done after that third rush attempt, but he could be due for more work in New York's second preseason contest next Saturday night against the Giants.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Returns to practice

Hall (undisclosed) returned to Tuesday's practice a few minutes after leaving the field to talk with trainers, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports. He apparently avoided a significant injury and will jump back in with the first-team offense ahead of Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. There's been chatter this summer about Allen in particular taking more work away from Hall, but we may have to wait until Week 1 to have a good idea about how that plays out.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Leaves practice early

Hall left Tuesday's practice early with a trainer, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Hall walked off the practice field Tuesday morning, leaving Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis to handle first-team backfield reps. There's been some chatter this summer about the new coaching staff dividing RB work more evenly, with Allen in particular said to be making a good impression, but Hall still figures to be the starter and lead runner heading into Week 1, assuming Tuesday's issue is nothing serious.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Posts 1,359 scrimmage yards in 2024

Hall rushed 12 times for 57 yards while catching three of five targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He also ran in a two-point conversion. Hall caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to cap the scoring with 2:30 remaining in the fourth quarter. That was the 503rd -- and possibly, final -- touchdown pass of Rodgers' NFL career. Hall finishes the 2024 season with 876 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 209 carries, along with 57 catches for 483 receiving yards and three receiving scores on 74 targets. He's likely to return as the lead back for the Jets in 2025, ahead of 2024 draft picks Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Gets 19 touches in Week 16 loss

Hall rushed 14 times for 52 yards and caught five of six targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. Hall wasn't particularly efficient, but he showed that he's over the knee injury that has been bothering him in recent weeks, as Hall's 19 touches marked his highest total since he tied his season high with 23 in Week 11. That robust workload helped Hall reach 90 scrimmage yards for the sixth time in 14 appearances this season. Hall was stuffed on fourth-and-1 in Jets territory for a turnover on downs in the second quarter and didn't get any goal-line opportunities. He'll likely continue to work as the clear lead back over Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis in Week 17 against Buffalo.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Hall played a season-low 48 percent of the snaps in Week 15 at Jacksonville, and he needed a late touchdown to save his Fantasy production. He finished the game with nine carries for 30 yards and the touchdown and two catches for 21 yards on two targets. He's dealing with a knee injury that he's playing through, but he doesn't seem to be 100 percent. Isaiah Davis will continue to share touches with Hall, especially if Braelon Allen (back) is out in Week 16, and the Rams should be able to keep Hall in check if snap share remains low. I still consider him a No. 2 running back in all leagues, but he's a risky starting option, especially if he continues to miss practice leading up to Sunday's game.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Scores game-winning TD in return

Hall (knee) rushed nine times for 30 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars. Hall wasn't efficient in his return after a one-game absence due to a knee injury, and he ceded a combined seven carries to Isaiah Davis and Braelon Allen, the latter of whom exited due to a back injury. The lead back salvaged his fantasy stat line with a one-yard rushing touchdown, which broke a 25-25 tie with 1:05 left in the fourth quarter. If Hall avoids any setbacks in practice, he'll likely get a larger workload in Week 16 against the Rams.
