• Packers' Keisean Nixon: Questionable vs. Lions

  Rotowire Nov 26, 2025

• Packers' Keisean Nixon: Limited in Tuesday's walkthrough

  Rotowire Nov 25, 2025

Nixon (neck) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice. Nixon was estimated as a DNP on Monday due to a neck injury he sustained during the Packers' win over the Vikings on Sunday. His ability to practice in a limited capacity Tuesday is a sign that the injury is not considered a long-term issue, and Wednesday's injury report will shed light on whether he'll be available to play against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day. Nixon's absence would open the door for Kamal Hadden and Nate Hobbs (knee) to see more defensive snaps in the secondary.

  Rotowire Jan 20, 2025

Nixon finished the 2024 regular season with 88 tackles (61 solo), including 3.0 sacks, seven pass defenses (including one interception) and three forced fumbles across 17 games. Nixon's sack count in 2024 eclipses his combined total from the first five seasons of his NFL career, and the 27-year-old corner finished fourth on the Packers in total tackles behind Quay Walker (102), Isaiah McDuffie (97) and Javon Bullard (90). Nixon also showed his prowess as a returner, finishing with 528 kickoff-return yards on 18 attempts. Nixon is projected to be the Packers' second starting outside corner for the 2025 campaign, though whether that's opposite Jaire Alexander (knee) or someone else remains to be seen.

However, Nixon struggled in coverage throughout Week 4's loss, giving up five receptions for 70 yards and one touchdown while being targeted six times. • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Re-ups with Green Bay

  Rotowire Mar 12, 2024

The Packers are re-signing Nixon to a three-year, $18 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nixon was named a first-team All-Pro in both 2022 and 2023 as a return man, but last season is when he saw his defensive role heightened, playing a career-high 809 snaps with the majority of those coming as the Packers' slot corner. He remained extremely effective on kickoff returns, averaging an NFL-best 26.1 yards per return while leading the league in total kickoff returns (30) and yards (782). On defense, Nixon racked up 80 tackles (59 solo), one interception and 0.5 sacks.

• Packers' Keisean Nixon: Remains in versatile role

  Rotowire Nov 20, 2023

Nixon played over 80 percent of the defensive snaps for a third straight game, and he also made a mark in the return game. Nixon was named to the 2022 All-Pro Team as a kick returner, and he is trending toward repeating that feat. • Packers' Keisean Nixon: Nets eight Week 1 stops

  Rotowire Sep 11, 2023

Nixon had eight tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 38-20 victory over the Bears. He also returned two kicks for 55 yards. The All-Pro return man was not used on punt returns, but that's because he has carved out a key role in Green Bay's secondary, as he was one of three cornerbacks to open Sunday's contest on the field. Nixon may not have as many chances to score as he did last season, but he remains an important player for the Packers.

• Packers' Keisean Nixon: Will return to Green Bay

  Rotowire Mar 13, 2023

The Packers and Nixon (concussion) agreed Monday on a one-year deal with a max value of $6 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nixon signed with the Packers in March of 2022 and reunited with special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia, who coached Nixon during his previous stint in Las Vegas. Nixon, an undrafted product out of South Carolina, periodically saw some work on defense with Green Bay, totaling 23 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble across 276 defensive snaps, but he made his mark as a return man after Amari Rodgers was waived in November. Nixon totaled 1,009 kick-return yards, 140 punt-return yards and one touchdown across 12 games as the primary return man en route to first-team All-Pro honors. Based on Rapoport's report, it sounds like Nixon's new deal is laced with incentives, so he'll have to build off his success from last year to earn the full $6 million. He suffered a concussion during the Packers' Week 18 loss to the Lions, but there's no reason to believe that issue will impact his availability for offseason workouts.

Nixon is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a groin injury. Nixon had a 93-yard kick return ahead of the Packers' first offensive possession Sunday, but he apparently sustained a groin injury in the second quarter. It's unclear whether he'll be able to return, but Romeo Doubs took over as Green Bay's kick returner late in the second quarter.

• Packers' Keisean Nixon: Makes mark in victory

  Rotowire Dec 5, 2022

Nixon had two assisted tackles and an interception in Sunday's 28-19 victory over the Bears. He also returned four kicks for 102 yards in the game. The interception was the first of Nixon's career, and it came late in the fourth quarter and ensured the Packers walked away with the win. He also racked up over 100 return yards for the fourth game in a row. Nixon will presumably continue fielding kicks after the Packers' Week 14 bye, and he figures to remain part of the defensive game plan for as long as fellow cornerback Eric Stokes (ankle/knee) is sidelined.
