  • Drew Forbes: Gets let go

    Forbes (back) was released by the Browns on Monday with a failed physical designation, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Forbes missed all of 2023 due to a back injury suffered during training camp. It's unclear what the injury is specifically or how close he could be to being healthy enough to compete. Either way, the 27-year-old will now be a free agent until he is at least fully recovered.

  • Browns' Drew Forbes: Will miss time

    Forbes (back) was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list Monday. Forbes missed all of the 2022 campaign due to a knee injury and he'll now miss at least the first four weeks of the 2023 campaign with his move to the NFI list. The South Missouri State product will now work to get healthy so he can return Week 6 against the 49ers.

    Forbes was carted off the practice field Monday due to a back injury, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Forbes missed all of the 2022 season because of a knee injury and was competing for a depth role on the team's offensive line. The 25-year-old will now likely undergo further evaluation to determine the significance of his injury.
