  • Tyrek Funderburk: Let go from IR

The Panthers waived Funderburk (undisclosed) from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Funderburk reverted to the Panthers' injured reserve list with an undisclosed issue Monday after clearing waivers. The cornerback was not waived from IR with an injury designation or settlement, meaning he may have recovered from the issue. Funderburk has already cleared waivers and is now a free agent able to sign with any franchise as soon as he regains his health.

  • Tyrek Funderburk: Waived/injured by Carolina

Funderburk (undisclosed) was waived by the Panthers with any injury designation Sunday, Darin Gantt of the team's official website reports. Funderburk compiled five total tackles during the preseason but he appears to have picked up an undisclosed injury at some point along the line. The cornerback will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll revert to season-ending injured reserve with Carolina. If that ends up being the case, he'll have to reach an injury settlement with the team in order to have a chance to play this season.

  • Tyrek Funderburk: Working out with Indy

The Colts worked out Funderburk (undisclosed) on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The Buccaneers waived Funderburk with an injury settlement Thursday, and he's now getting a look from a different club less than a week later. Indianapolis is dealing with a few different injuries at cornerback, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the team decide to add some depth at the position.
