Titans' Elic Ayomanor: Career-high 69 yards in Week 2 loss

Ayomanor caught two of three targets for 69 yards during the Titans' 24-20 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Ayomanor doubled his catches Sunday compared to Week 1 against the Jets. He connected with Cam Ward on a 28-yard pass late in the second quarter that led to a 37-yard field goal by Joey Slye at the end of the first half. Ayomanor was then responsible for the game's longest play with a 41-yard catch in the fourth quarter, hurdling defensive back Marcus Epps in the process. Ayomanor played only 28 of 53 offensive snaps (52.8 percent), third-most among Titans wide receivers. However, his 69 receiving yards was a career high, and he's recorded at least 50 receiving yards in three of his last five regular-season games dating back to the 2025 campaign. The Titans will hit the road for Week 3 against the Giants on Sept. 27.

Per Wyatt, Ayomanor left Thursday's session early with a trainer, holding his left shoulder. For now, as he's being evaluated, per Wyatt, consider the wideout day-to-day as the Titans' Aug. 13 exhibition opener against the 49ers approaches. Ahead of the coming campaign, Ayomanor is line to compete for a rotational role in a Tennessee WR corps that features Carnell Tate, Wan'Dale Robinson and Calvin Ridley, with fellow 2025 draftee Chimere Dike also in the mix.

Ayomanor showed early rapport with Cam Ward (shoulder), making a nice catch-and-run for a 39-yard gain on the team's first possession. However, Ward then exited the game, and Brandon Allen struggled to move the Tennessee offense, which led to Ayomanor's inefficient line. And he scored at least 13.8 PPR points in each of his two previous outings prior to Week 4, which included two touchdowns. It helps that Arizona has allowed a receiver to score at least 12.4 PPR points in every game this season, and I like Ayomanor as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in this matchup.

Ayomanor ranks second on the team with a 23.2% target share and first on the team at 1.23 yards per route run. He's played at least 70% of the snaps in each of the Titans' first two games, which is excellent for a rookie. The Colts are a much better matchup than the Broncos or Rams, the first two teams the Titans face. Ayomanor could burst onto the scene in Week 3, and you could be the beneficiary.
