Preseason Players To Watch: AFC North

Player Outlook
This fifth-round pick joins a Ravens backfield that has no clear handcuff to Derrick Henry. Randall is not worth drafting as he likely has no Fantasy value as a rookie with Henry healthy. However, if Henry were to miss time, Randall could compete for carries. Randall is a converted wide receiver weighing in at more than 230 pounds. He is an intriguing prospect, but with only one season of experience at running back, Randall is best left for Dynasty leagues unless we hear he is climbing the Ravens depth chart in training camp.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Leads ground attack in preseason win

Randall rushed 12 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for two yards in the Ravens' 24-7 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday. Randall led the Ravens in rush attempts and rushing yards on the night, and he capped off an impressive pro debut with a four-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The rookie fifth-round pick out of Clemson is fighting to carve out a depth running back role behind the top duo of Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, and given the long look he got Saturday, it seems evident the coaching staff sees plenty of potential in him. Randall should continue seeing plenty of action in Baltimore's second preseason game on the road against the Vikings next Saturday.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Picked by Ravens

The Ravens selected Randall in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 174th overall. Randall (6-foot-3, 232 pounds) moved to running back last year after spending the prior three seasons at wide receiver, but for the entirety of the season Randall continued to look like something other than a running back. It's concerning that Randall was only vaguely productive as a runner (4.8 yards per carry), and it was all but admitted that Clemson moved him to running back because it wasn't working at wide receiver. With that said, Randall is a standout athlete for his build (4.50-second 40-yard dash, 37-inch vertical, 124-inch broad jump), so perhaps there is developmental potential there. Just don't be surprised if it eventually occurs at tight end rather than running back.
