The Raiders signed Ward to a reserve/future contract Tuesday. Ward was let go by the Rams in November, but he'll get a new chance with the Raiders as a member of the team's 90-man roster when the offseason starts Feb. 9. That gives Ward the opportunity to participate in OTAs and minicamp with Las Vegas.

  • Rams' Alex Ward: Good to go for training camp

Ward (neck) does not have an injury designation for the start of training camp, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Ward finished the 2023 regular-season on injured reserve due to a neck injury he sustained in Week 13. He appears to be over the injury and will serve as the Rams' long snapper in 2024.

Ward (neck) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters Monday that Ward had suffered a "stinger" during Los Angeles' Week 13 loss, but it now seems as if his injury is more severe, as he's been placed on IR. Ward will be forced to miss the Rams' next four games, but he could return later this year if the team is able to qualify for the playoffs.
