Fantasy News

  • Tory Carter: Let go Tuesday

The Titans waived Carter on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Carter appeared in nine games this season for Tennessee, serving as Derrick Henry's lead blocker and as a special-team contributor in that stretch. However, the Titans and the 23-year-old fullback parted ways Tuesday, and Carter will now search elsewhere for playing opportunities.

  • Titans' Tory Carter: Yet to log carry or target

Carter played all 10 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Bengals. Since returning to the field Week 10 following a three-game absence due to a neck injury, Carter has yet to log a carry or a target on offense. The fullback will continue to have a regular role on special teams but will operate primarily as a blocker on the rare occasions he takes the field with the offense.

  • Titans' Tory Carter: Practicing in full Wednesday

Carter (neck) was a full participant at practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game versus Denver, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports. Carter has missed Tennessee's last three games with a neck injury, but it seems he will probably be ready to play again in Week 10. Once back, the sophomore fullback should rotate in for heavy formations and short-yardage situations.

  • Titans' Tory Carter: Ruled out for Week 7

Carter (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Ben Arthur of Fox Sports reports. He'll be unavailable for at least one game, but his absence shouldn't significantly impact the Titans' plans on offense.

  • Titans' Tory Carter: Active participant in minicamp

Carter participated in the Titans' seven-on-seven drills during minicamp earlier this June, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Carter missed Tennessee's final five games with an ankle injury last season, but he appears to be back to full health this offseason. The rookie out of LSU played eight games in 2021 and should be the Titans' top fullback during the upcoming campaign, if the club elects to roster a player at the position.

Carter (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Monday, Jim Wyatt of the TItans' official site reports. Carter, who has played in eight games with two starts this season, was placed on injured reserve during Week 15 due to an ankle injury suffered against the Jaguars in the week prior. This designation will begin a 21-day window for Carter to return to the team's active roster; otherwise, he will be forced to miss the remainder of the playoffs.

  • Titans' Tory Carter: Questionable to return Sunday

Carter (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Carter suffered an ankle injury that forced him to leave Week 14 in the first half. If he is unable to return, then the Titans won't have a healthy fullback on their active roster, so they may elect to run more two-tight end sets with Geoff Swaim, MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser.
