    Garvin was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday. Garvin has had a steady role in the Packers' linebacker group in his second year. Most recently drawing the start in their Week 11 loss to the Vikings, filling in for Rashan Gary (elbow). With both Garvin and Gary's status for Week 12 in question, the Packers' linebacker unit is now in a state of flux.

  • Packers' Jonathan Garvin: Set for increased role

    Garvin will draw the first start of his professional career Sunday against the Vikings, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Garvin has served as a rotational player among the Packers' linebacker corps this season, though with Rashan Gary (elbow) sidelined, he will see an increased role. Through 10 games this season, Garvin has recorded 11 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

  • Packers' Jonathan Garvin: Makes first mark in sack column

    Garvin notched two tackles (one solo) and a half sack in Sunday's 30-28 victory over the 49ers. Garvin finished his 2020 rookie season with a zero in the sack column, but he finally got on the board in Week 3 of his sophomore campaign. He is operating as the Packers' third edge rusher in the absence of Green Bay's top sack artist, Za'Darius Smith (back).
