  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Good to go for TNF

Mauigoa (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Thursday night's game against the Patriots. Mauigoa missed Week 10 against the Browns but appears to be all systems go for Thursday night's date with New England. The fifth-round rookie has started the last five games he's appeared in this season and has totaled 34 tackles (13 solo) on 265 defensive snaps this season.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Considered full participant Monday

Mauigoa (concussion) was listed as a full participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Mauigoa was unable to clear concussion protocol prior to the team's 27-20 win over the Browns on Sunday, but he continues to trend in the right direction ahead of Week 11. The Jets held a walkthrough Monday, and the linebacker will have two more chances to officially leave the concussion behind him this week before the Jets visit the Patriots on Thursday night.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Not cleared to return Week 10

Mauigoa (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns. Mauigoa was able to log a full practice Friday, but he has not progressed through the league's five-step concussion protocol enough to be cleared to play Sunday. He'll need to be assessed and cleared by an independent neurologist in order to be available for the Jets' next game Thursday against the Patriots. Mauigoa's absence means Ja'Markis Weston, Kobe King and Mykal Walker are candidates to start at linebacker.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Questionable for Sunday

Mauigoa (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Mauigoa entered the league's concussion protocol following the Jets' Week 8 win over the Bengals. The fifth-round rookie logged a full practice Friday and awaits the evaluation of an independent neurologist for permission to suit up for Sunday's game. As one of the Jets' starting outside linebackers, Mauigoa's potential absence would force either Mykal Walker, Ja'Markis Weston or Kobe King into a starting role.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Mauigoa (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Mauigoa entered the league's concussion protocol following the Jets' Week 8 win over the Bengals. He had additional time to progress in his recovery thanks to the Jets' Week 9 bye and was able to participate in Wednesday's practice. However, even if Mauigoa practices in full Thursday or Friday, he would need to clear an evaluation from an independent neurologist in order to be allowed to play against the Browns on Sunday. The rookie fifth-rounder has 34 tackles (13 solo) through the first eight regular-season games of his NFL career.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Fades injury report for Week 6

Mauigoa (foot) does not carry an injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Broncos. The rookie fifth-rounder appeared to sustain a foot injury during the Jets' Week 5 loss to the Cowboys. Mauigoa wasn't listed on the injury reports leading up to Sunday's game, so he'll be good to go for Sunday's game in London, England. He's logged 16 tackles (seven solo) through the first five regular-season games of his NFL career.

  • Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Avoids serious injury

Head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters Monday that Mauigoa will be fine after sustaining a foot injury in Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. The 2025 fifth-round pick from Miami played 62 total snaps (49 on defense, 13 on special teams) prior to sustaining his foot injury, recording four total tackles. Glenn's comments Monday suggest Mauigoa avoided a serious issue and will travel with the team for the Week 6 matchup against the Broncos in London. However, if the injury is too much to overcome by Sunday, Mykal Walker could see increased work on the Jets' first-team defense.

The Jets selected Mauigoa in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 162nd overall. Mauigoa spent the last two seasons at Miami and was an All-ACC contributor in each campaign.
