  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Two touches in Thursday's loss

Davis rushed twice for 11 yards and didn't catch his only target in Thursday's 27-14 loss to the Patriots. It looks like Davis' role will remain limited as long as Breece Hall is healthy, even though Davis flashed decent production earlier in the season while Hall was playing through a knee injury. Davis has exceeded five touches in a game only once this season heading into the Jets' Week 12 road game against the Ravens.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Four touches in Week 10 win

Davis rushed three times for 10 yards and caught his only target for one yard in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Browns. Breece Hall took on a workhorse role, churning out 125 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 22 touches. The rest of the team combined for only 44 rushing yards and 12 receiving yards, so the Jets understandably were loath to take Hall off the field. Davis was on the field for just 14 of 49 offensive snaps, while Hall played 35. It looks like Davis' breakout Week 8 outing was an outlier, and he's back to his previous role as the distant No. 2 option behind Hall heading into Thursday's game against the Patriots.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

This post could change depending on if the Jets trade Breece Hall prior to Tuesday's deadline, so keep an eye on any news that develops for the New York backfield. If Hall is dealt then Davis would be the No. 1 running back to add, and he could be a No. 2 Fantasy running back in all leagues for the foreseeable future, especially while Braelon Allen (knee) is on injured reserve. If Hall remains with the Jets then Davis is just a handcuff, and he had seven carries for 65 yards and five catches for 44 yards in his last game against the Bengals in Week 8. For now, he is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Davis had a standout game in Week 8 at Cincinnati with seven carries for 65 yards and five catches for 44 yards on five targets. He's worth adding in all leagues as the handcuff for Breece Hall, even with the Jets on a bye in Week 9, and the trade deadline is Nov. 4. Hall is one of the top trade candidates, and Davis would be a borderline starter in all leagues if he was the No. 1 running back for the Jets. He should be added in all leagues for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Career-best outing in Week 8 win

Davis rushed seven times for 65 yards and caught all five of his targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals. He also caught a two-point conversion. Davis hadn't previously recorded more than 67 scrimmage yards in a regular-season game but stepped up Sunday in a larger change-of-pace role behind Breece Hall, who had been bothered by a knee injury leading up to the game. The 2024 fifth-round pick broke off a career-long 50-yard run in the third quarter, accounting for most of Davis' production on the ground. Hall was fresh enough to take over in the fourth quarter with three total touchdowns, one of which Davis followed up by catching a two-point conversion. Davis' pass-catching skills give him some deep-league value, but he'll likely continue to fill a change-of-pace role after the Jets' Week 9 bye as long as Hall's healthy.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 8 Waiver Priority List

Breece Hall briefly left Week 7 against Carolina with an ankle injury, but he was able to return. It's an injury to monitor heading into Week 8, especially with a plus matchup against the Bengals, who are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. If Hall were out then Davis would be at least a flex option in the majority of leagues. The NFL trade deadline is also looming on Nov. 4, and Hall could be dealt out of New York. With Braelon Allen (knee) on injured reserve, Davis could be in line for a big role if Hall is traded. Davis is worth adding in all leagues for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Two carries, two catches in Week 7

Davis rushed twice for 10 yards and caught two of four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers. Davis continues to see modest usage as the top backup to Breece Hall in Braelon Allen's (knee) absence. Davis' role will likely remain limited in Week 8 against the Bengals, regardless of whether the Jets move forward with Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor under center.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 7 Waiver Priority List

Davis is worth stashing in deeper leagues as the handcuff for Breece Hall, and we'll see what happens if Hall were to get traded. In two games without Braelon Allen (knee) in Week 5 against Dallas and Week 6 against Denver, Davis only has three carries for 7 yards and four catches for 27 yards on five targets. But Davis has lottery-ticket upside, especially in PPR, if Hall were to miss any time, and Davis is worth stashing on your bench for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Three touches in Week 6 loss

Davis rushed twice for two yards and caught his only target for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 13-11 loss to the Broncos. Davis saw typical backup running back usage, playing on 15 of the Jets' 57 snaps on offense compared to Breece Hall's 42. It would take an injury to Hall for Davis to carve out meaningful fantasy value for the winless Jets.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

Davis is worth stashing in deeper leagues as the handcuff for Breece Hall now that Braelon Allen (knee) is out. In the first game without Allen in Week 5 against Dallas, Davis had one carry for 5 yards and three catches for 28 yards on four targets. Davis has lottery-ticket upside, especially in PPR, if Hall were to miss any time, and Davis is worth stashing on your bench for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Four touches vs. Dallas

Davis rushed once for five yards and caught three of four targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys. The second-year pro from South Dakota State played a season-high 32 offensive snaps while serving as the Jets' No. 2 running back in Week 5. As expected, Breece Hall handled a majority of New York's backfield work, tallying 155 total yards on 18 touches. Davis has now rushed six times for 32 yards and caught six of nine targets for 52 yards across his first five games of this season. He's expected to play a similar role in the Jets' Week 6 matchup against the Broncos, contributing primarily on passing downs.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Moves into No. 2 role

Davis is expected to serve as the Jets' No. 2 running back beginning with Sunday's game against the Cowboys after New York placed Braelon Allen (knee) on injured reserve Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Head coach Aaron Glenn noted that Allen is expected to miss an estimated 8-to-12 weeks while recovering from what's believed to be an MCL injury, giving Davis an extended runway as the top backup to starter Breece Hall. Through the first four weeks of the season, Davis had used mostly as a third-down back, playing fewer than 35 percent of the offensive snaps in each contest while totaling 27 yards on five carries and 24 yards on three receptions. The Jets signed Khalil Herbert off the Seahawks' practice squad Thursday to bolster their depth in the backfield while Allen is out, but Davis should get the first chance to serve as the team's lead option if Hall needs to miss time at any point. So long as Hall is healthy, however, Davis likely won't be in store for a big enough boost in playing time and touches sans Allen to make him usable in most fantasy leagues.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Sees more backfield work sans Allen

Davis logged three carries for nine yards, two catches (on as many targets) for 18 yards and 108 kickoff yards on three returns during the Jets' 27-21 loss to the Dolphins on Monday. Davis got his regular work on special teams as a kick returner, but he also logged carries for the first time since Week 1 following Braelon Allen's exit in the second quarter of Sunday's tilt due to a knee injury. Allen was diagnosed with an MCL sprain Tuesday and is expected to go on injured reserve, which puts Davis in position to serve as the Jets' top backup running back behind starter Breece Hall, with Lawrance Toafili being the lone running back on the Jets' practice squad. Davis and the Jets will welcome in the Cowboys for Week 5, whose defense yielded 117 rushing yards during their 40-40 tie to the Packers on Sunday.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 5 Waiver Priority List

Braelon Allen (knee) left Monday's game at Miami in Week 4 and could miss time with his injury. Davis would be the No. 2 running back for the Jets if Allen is out behind Breece Hall, and Davis is worth stashing in all leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Two touches in Week 1

Davis rushed twice for 18 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 34-32 loss to the Steelers. Davis worked as a distant third running back behind Breece Hall (19 carries for 107 yards) and Braelon Allen (six carries for nine yards and a touchdown). Barring an injury, Davis is unlikely to earn significant workloads, though he could slowly start to get more touches at Allen's expense if the fellow second-year running back continues to struggle.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Clear of injury report

Davis (ankle) was not listed on the Jets' injury report Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Davis hurt his ankle in early August and didn't play in either of New York's final two preseason games. However, head coach Aaron Glenn has expressed confidence in Davis' ability to suit up Week 1 against Pittsburgh, and that now seems to be a near certainty given the running back's avoidance of the injury report. Davis is expected to be third in the pecking order behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen in the Jets' backfield.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Expected back for Week 1

Coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Davis (ankle) is expected to be available for Week 1 against the Steelers on Sept. 7, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Davis didn't play in either of the Jets' final two preseason contests, but it sounds like he's turned a corner in his recovery. The second-year back played 13 snaps in the exhibition opener, rushing six times for 14 yards. He also caught one pass for 11 yards. Davis is expected to open the season as the Jets' RB3 behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Unlikely to play vs. Giants

Davis (ankle) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports. Davis has been working through a minor ankle injury, and the 2024 fifth-rounder will be held out of Saturday's exhibition contest to avoid aggravating the issue. If Kene Nwangwu (calf) is also ruled out, Donovan Edwards and Lawrance Toafili would be in line to manage the bulk of backfield carries, assuming Breece Hall and Braelon Allen are limited to the first couple of offensive series. Davis will aim to return to practice next week and be available for the Jets' preseason finale against the Eagles on Friday.

  • Jets' Isaiah Davis: Managing ankle injury

Davis has an injured ankle that is expected to be minor, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Davis played in Saturday's preseason opener against the Packers and rushed six times for 14 yards while adding one catch on his only target for 11 yards. The second-year running back picked up an ankle injury sometime during the contest, but coach Aaron Glenn's comments suggest he's not dealing with anything serious. Davis is slated to work as New York's No. 3 RB behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen during the upcoming campaign.
