Davis likely enters the season third on the Jets depth chart behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen and is not worth drafting in Fantasy leagues. To be fair, in one game without Hall in 2024, Davis split snaps and touches almost evenly with Allen. The Jets have a new coaching staff in place, so we'll see if Davis can carve out a bigger role. Until then, leave him for the waiver wire.
Davis (ankle) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Davis has been working through a minor ankle injury, and the 2024 fifth-rounder will be held out of Saturday's exhibition contest to avoid aggravating the issue. If Kene Nwangwu (calf) is also ruled out, Donovan Edwards and Lawrance Toafili would be in line to manage the bulk of backfield carries, assuming Breece Hall and Braelon Allen are limited to the first couple of offensive series. Davis will aim to return to practice next week and be available for the Jets' preseason finale against the Eagles on Friday.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Managing ankle injury
Rotowire
Davis has an injured ankle that is expected to be minor, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Davis played in Saturday's preseason opener against the Packers and rushed six times for 14 yards while adding one catch on his only target for 11 yards. The second-year running back picked up an ankle injury sometime during the contest, but coach Aaron Glenn's comments suggest he's not dealing with anything serious. Davis is slated to work as New York's No. 3 RB behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen during the upcoming campaign.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Getting more opportunities in camp
Rotowire
Davis has gotten additional reps in practice in the absence of Braelon Allen (knee), Nick Wojton of USA Today Jets Wire reports.
Allen sat out Tuesday due to knee soreness, paving the way for Davis to get more opportunities alongside lead back Breece Hall. Davis, Allen and Hall all appear to be locks to make the regular-season roster, with the Jets set to use the same backfield personnel while employing a new offensive scheme under a new coaching staff. After being selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State, Davis had 30 carries for 174 yards and a touchdown, as well as nine catches for 75 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets, in his rookie campaign with the Jets.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Scores two total TDs in rookie year
Rotowire
Davis finished his rookie season with 30 carries for 174 yards and a touchdown, as well as nine catches for 75 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. He also returned nine kickoffs for 232 yards.
Davis had just five touches on offense through the Week 12 bye, but the rookie fifth-round pick was more involved down the stretch while showing promising efficiency on the ground. With Breece Hall likely to reprise the lead role in 2025, Davis and fellow 2024 draft pick Braelon Allen will find it difficult to carve out enough touches to be meaningful fantasy contributors, barring a change to the status quo in the Jets' backfield.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Four touches in Week 17 loss
Rotowire
Davis rushed three times for 35 yards and caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills. He also had a 29-yard kickoff return.
Davis worked behind both Breece Hall (10 carries for 45 yards) and Braelon Allen (six carries for 26 yards). The rookie fifth-round pick out of South Dakota State has shown some promising burst on the ground and good hands as a pass catcher, averaging 5.1 yards per carry and 6.3 yards per target. Davis' touches will likely remain limited in the Week 18 season finale against Miami.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Three carries in Week 16
Rotowire
Davis rushed three times for 12 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams.
Breece Hall worked as the clear lead back with 19 touches, while Davis and Braelon Allen got just three apiece. With Hall healthy ahead of a Week 17 trip to Buffalo, Davis doesn't project to get much work.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Ready for Week 16
Rotowire
Davis (back) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Despite following an LP/LP/FP practice regimen this week, Davis is clear for Week 16 action, while fellow RB Braelon Allen (back) is listed as questionable. At the very least, Davis will be available behind Breece Hall this weekend, but he could have most of the complementary RB reps to himself if Allen is deemed inactive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Logs limited practice Thursday
Rotowire
Davis (back) was limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The same goes for fellow RB Braelon Allen (back), with both players also limited Wednesday. Davis likely will need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Rams without an injury designation, but with starter Breece Hall not on the Jets' Week 16 injury report, neither Davis nor Allen have a clear path to ample volume, if available, this weekend.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Limited by back injury Wednesday
Rotowire
Davis was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to a back injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Davis and Braelon Allen were both limited by back injuries Wednesday. Even if both rookies are cleared for Sunday's game against the Rams, the majority of touches in the Jets backfield will likely go to Breece Hall, who was a full participant Wednesday.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 16 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
With Braelon Allen (back) banged up and Breece Hall only playing 48 percent of the snaps in Week 15 at Jacksonville, there could be a chance for Davis to help as a flex option in Week 16 against the Rams. He only scored 3.6 PPR points against the Jaguars, but he had at least 12.2 PPR points in each of his two previous games against the Seahawks and Dolphins. And if the Jets are chasing points this week against the Rams, then we could see Davis be more involved than Hall, given Davis' role in the passing game.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Six touches in Hall's return
Rotowire
Davis rushed five times for 24 yards and caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars.
Davis finished with six touches compared to 11 for Breece Hall in the latter's return from a one-game absence due to a knee injury. Braelon Allen had two touches before exiting due to a back injury. Davis' usage in Week 16 against the Rams will likely be limited if both Hall and Allen suit up, but if Allen sits, Davis could maintain some involvement as a change-of-pace option after scoring twice on 23 touches over the past three games.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 15 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Braelon Allen played one more snap than Davis against the Dolphins, but both had similar production in Week 14. Davis finished with 10 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown and had three catches for 27 yards on three targets. Allen had 11 carries for 43 yards and four catches for 38 yards on five targets. We don't know if Breece Hall (knee) will return in Week 15 at Jacksonville after he missed Week 14 at Miami, but Davis should be added where available. He should be considered at least a flex option in all leagues against the Jaguars, who are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Week 15 Adds (RB Preview)
Rotowire
If Breece Hall misses Week 15 then both Isaiah Davis and Braelon Allen are must-roster and good flexes. It was a near-even split in Week 14 with the two backs chopping up both rushes and targets down the middle. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they could both be starters if they see similar volume. They've surrendered at least 100 yards rushing to running backs in six straight games and eight total running back touchdowns in that span.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Steps up with Hall hurt
Rotowire
Davis rushed 10 times for 40 yards and a touchdown while catching three of six targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins.
Davis and Braelon Allen (11 carries for 43 yards) both took on larger roles as Breece Hall (knee) missed a game for the first time this season. Davis' 17-yard touchdown run in the second quarter marked the Jets' first touchdown in Miami since 2021 and gave New York a 10-9 lead. After handling 16 combined carries and targets apiece against Miami, Davis and Allen would likely maintain close an even split in Week 15 against the Jaguars if Hall remains sidelined.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Scores first NFL TD
Rotowire
Davis rushed once for four yards while catching all three of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks.
Davis got more opportunities in practice coming out of New York's Week 12 bye since Breece Hall missed practice reps due to a knee injury. The rookie out of South Dakota State capitalized on the field Sunday, scoring his first NFL touchdown on a four-yard shovel pass in the second quarter. Davis also set a career high with four touches on offense, though that was third-most among Jets running backs behind Hall (12) and Braelon Allen (seven). While Davis showed some promise as a pass catcher in this game, he'll be tough to trust from a fantasy standpoint as long as both Hall and Allen are available.

Jets' Isaiah Davis: Four catches in preseason opener
Rotowire
Davis rushed four times for eight yards and caught all four of his targets for 33 yards in Saturday's 20-17 preseason win over the Commanders. He added a 29-yard kickoff return and two punt returns for six yards.
Davis was the second running back to enter the game for the Jets after fellow rookie Braelon Allen got the start, with Breece Hall resting on the sideline. While Davis didn't do much on the ground, he flashed some decent pass-catching skills and showcased his versatility by contributing on special teams. It's also significant that the 2024 fifth-round draft pick checked into the game before 2023 fifth-round pick Israel Abanikanda, who entered in the third quarter and scored a two-yard touchdown in the fourth. Holding off Abanikanda for the third spot on the depth chart is Davis' easiest path to securing a roster spot, and how these two perform in next Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers could help determine the outcome of that competition.
