Brinson signed a contract with the Cowboys in early June, spending a few short weeks on the roster. His exit makes way for UFL wide receiver Denzel Mims to compete for a spot in the Cowboys' corps. If Brinson clears waivers, the undrafted free agent will be available to sign with a team of his choosing.

Brinson signed with the Cowboys on Monday, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports.
The SMU product will try to fight for a spot on a wide receiver depth chart headed by CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and several other players with NFL experience. Brinson caught 43 passes for 638 yards and three scores in 2025 for the Mustangs.
