Green, an undrafted tight end out of Houston, signed with Dallas' practice squad in October, but he was cut in mid-December and remained a free agent for the rest of the year. Green's addition to the practice squad comes after Dalton Schultz aggravated a sprained PCL injury in Sunday's win over the Rams. In a corresponding move, the team cut long snapper Tucker Addington from the practice squad.
