  • Tae Crowder: Let go by Giants

The Giants waived Crowder on Tuesday. Crowder, who opened the season as one of New York's defensive starters, has since been let go as a result of Tuesday's transaction. Since being drafted by the Giants in 2020, the 235-pound linebacker has collected 232 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and eight passes defensed across 41 games played. He'll now search elsewhere for an opportunity to continue his NFL journey.

  • Giants' Tae Crowder: Set to face Panthers

Crowder (thigh) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Crowder popped up on the injury report late in the week, but he'll still be ready to suit up. He's tallied at least eight tackles in each of his last four games.

The Giants have listed Crowder (thigh) as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Panthers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Despite being a late addition to the injury report, Dan Duggan of The Athletic indicates the team expects him to play. More clarity on his status should come closer to kickoff.

  • Giants' Tae Crowder: Back from IR

The Giants activated Crowder (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Crowder was impressive during a three-game stretch prior to his injury, as he piled up 17 tackles, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery. He even started over David Mayo in Week 6. Perhaps Crowder will reclaim the starting inside linebacker role in his first game back from IR, but fantasy managers in IDP formats should wait and see before plugging Crowder into their lineups.

  • Giants' Tae Crowder: Inactive for Week 1

Crowder (hamstring) is inactive for Monday's game versus the Steelers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Crowder was limited during practice all week but couldn't shake off his hamstring injury. It's unclear what role Crowder will have once he's healthy, but the Giants could have a decent amount of faith in the rookie seventh-rounder since they cut LB Ryan Connelly, who began the 2019 season as a starting linebacker.
