Schultz is in line to see an increase in targets for the second consecutive game in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Colts due to Nico Collins (hamstring) being ruled inactive for the contest.
The veteran tight end recorded a career-high 140 receiving yards on 12 receptions (14 targets) in the Week 2 loss to the Bengals, a game that marked Collins' first absence of the season. The fact the Texans were in catch-up mode and the Bengals' defense tends to funnel production to tight ends were both mitigating factors in Schultz's atypical numbers, but Collins' second consecutive absence does create the opportunity for another busy afternoon as Houston aims to secure its first win. Additionally, the Colts have been fairly generous to tight ends over the first two games of the season, surrendering a 75.0 percent catch rate, 11.1 yards per reception and tying for the third-most receptions (15) given up to the position among teams that have played two games thus far.

Well, Collins may be out in Week 3 at Indianapolis, and the Colts are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to tight ends. Schultz scored at least 11.3 PPR points in two games with Indianapolis last season, with a combined 11 catches for 128 yards on 12 targets, and we like Schultz as a potential starting tight end in all leagues for the rest of the season, even when Collins is healthy. Schultz is worth adding for at least 15 percent of your remaining FAAB.

I love that Schultz had eight targets in Week 1 against Buffalo, but he only finished with four catches for 35 yards. He should once again be heavily involved in Week 2 against the Bengals, who were No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends in 2025. Cincinnati held Cade Otton to three catches for 26 yards in Week 1, but I expect Schultz to do better against this defense in Week 2. He should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues.
