  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Sleeper WRs

Reynolds is a good flier in deeper leagues with the Jets down Garrett Wilson (knee) in Week 7 against the Panthers. Reynolds hasn't done much this season with a season-high of 7.9 PPR points in Week 5 against Dallas, but Justin Fields will need someone to help Mason Taylor and Breece Hall in the passing game, which makes Reynolds someone to consider in deeper formats. Wilson averages over nine targets per game, so Reynolds could be a surprise contributor against Carolina, which has allowed a receiver to score at least 16.1 PPR points in each of the past three weeks.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Cleared to face Panthers

Reynolds (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reynolds is good to go after logging a full practice Friday. He's expected to work as the team's top wide receiver since Garrett Wilson (knee) is doubtful, but Reynolds' upside is capped by Justin Fields' limitations as a passer. Fields threw for only 45 yards in the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Broncos, which dropped the Jets to 0-6.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Set for full practice

Reynolds (hip) is expected to practice without limitations Friday, per head coach Aaron Glenn, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. If Reynolds is a full participant in practice Friday, he may avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers. That would be a welcome sight for a Jets passing game that's expected to be without top wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee). Other candidates for additional opportunities at wide receiver include Arian Smith, Allen Lazard and Tyler Johnson.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Progresses to limited participation

Reynolds (hip) upgraded to limited practice participation Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reynolds didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to practice Thursday was a welcome sight for a Jets team that's expected to be without Garrett Wilson (knee) against the Panthers on Sunday. Reynolds is less than fully healthy himself but could work as the top option in the Jets' underwhelming receiving corps if he gains clearance to suit up Sunday.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Will miss practice Wednesday

Reynolds (hip) won't practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. With Garrett Wilson dealing with a knee injury that threatens his Week 7 availability, Reynolds' status gains import ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers. The wideout now has two more chances to practice before the Jets post injury designations Friday, but if Wilson is sidelined versus Carolina, Reynolds -- if active -- could see an expanded role this weekend. The Jets' other rostered WRs are Arian Smith, Allen Lazard and Tyler Johnson, while the team currently has five wideouts on the practice squad.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Week 7 Adds (WR Preview)

You have to at least consider the number one wide receiver on his own team. Right? Maybe. In deep leagues. I project Reynolds for six targets this week. Since the start of the 2022 season Reynolds has seen at least six targets in 11 games. He has averaged 13.2 PPR FPPG in those 11 games, scoring at least 9.5 points in all but one of them.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Week 7 Waiver Priority List

Garrett Wilson (knee) is not expected to play in Week 7 against Carolina, and Allen Lazard (personal) missed Week 6 against Denver in London. We'll see if Lazard can return against the Panthers, but Reynolds should be in a prominent role with Wilson out. I don't have high expectations for him, and the Panthers are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. But aside from Mason Taylor (see below) and Breece Hall, Reynolds should be at least third on the team in targets from Justin Fields. Reynolds is worth a flier in deeper leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Paces pass catchers in loss

Reynolds secured all three targets for 25 yards in the Jets' 13-11 loss to the Broncos in London on Sunday. The veteran wideout accounted for more than half of Justin Fields' paltry 45 passing yards on the day while tying for the team lead in receptions and setting the pace in targets. Reynolds now has back-to-back three-catch efforts following a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury and a Week 4 blanking in his return, but until the Jets are able to put together a semblance of a consistent passing attack, his fantasy outlook will remain relatively bleak.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Three grabs in Sunday's loss

Reynolds caught three of four targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys. He also caught a two-point conversion. While his numbers were modest, Reynolds was the only New York wideout aside from Garrett Wilson (6-71-1 on 10 targets) to catch more than one pass or see more than two targets on the afternoon. The 30-year-old journeyman is on his sixth team in the last six seasons, but there could be an opportunity with the Jets to carve out a consistent role, as the team lacks downfield threats aside from Wilson and rookie tight end Mason Taylor. Reynolds will look to build on this performance in Week 6 against the Broncos.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Returns to two targets Monday

Reynolds (hamstring) had no receptions (on two targets) in Monday's 27-21 loss to the Dolphins. Reynolds returned from a hamstring injury that he suffered back in Week 1. The veteran wideout resumed his unappealing role as the Jets' No. 2 receiver behind Garrett Wilson (6-82-1), but he still finished in a tie for fourth in targets while failing to record a reception. While Reynolds technically is a starter for the Jets, he's not involved enough offensively to generate fantasy appeal even in a soft matchup against the Cowboys on Sunday.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Returns to full practice

Reynolds (hamstring) practiced fully Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reynolds thus is on pace to return from a two-game absence when the Jets face the Dolphins on Monday. The veteran pass catcher logged a 97 percent snap share and two catches (on three targets) for 18 yards Week 1, but in his looming return he'll need to compete with Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith and Allen Lazard for WR targets that don't go to clear-cut top option Garrett Wilson.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: On track to practice Thursday

Reynolds (hamstring) is in line to practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. After logging a 97 percent snap share and two catches on three targets for 18 yards in Week 1, Reynolds missed the Jets' last two games. The wideout's looming return to practice suggests that he could be available Monday night against the Dolphins, but thus far this season Garrett Wilson has been the team's only WR of note from a fantasy perspective.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Sidelined again Thursday

Reynolds (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reynolds has now missed back-to-back practices due to the hamstring injury that forced him to sit out the Jets' loss to the Bills in Week 2. Unless he's able to retake the practice field Friday, Reynolds looks on track to miss Sunday's road game against the Buccaneers.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Still not practicing

Reynolds (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reynolds hasn't practiced since last Thursday, putting him potentially at risk of missing a second consecutive game and being forced to sit out Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers, in which Tyrod Taylor is slated to start in place of an injured Justin Fields (concussion). When healthy Week 1, Reynolds secured two of three targets for 18 yards while playing 97 percent of New York's offensive snaps.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: DNP due to hamstring Thursday

Reynolds (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. This is a new injury for Reynolds, who played 97 percent of snaps on offense in Week 1 against the Steelers and wasn't on Wednesday's injury report. If Reynolds is unable to play Sunday against the Steelers, that could pave the way for Allen Lazard to make his season debut.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Two catches in Jets debut

Reynolds caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 34-32 loss to the Steelers. Reynolds was one of three Jets wide receivers to register a catch, along with Garrett Wilson (seven catches for 95 yards) and Tyler Johnson (two catches for 31 yards). Reynolds is the nominal No. 2 wide receiver in New York, but the Jets are unlikely to get much production from the position besides Wilson.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Clear favorite for No. 2 WR role

Reynolds is "the clear-cut leader" to be the Jets' No. 2 wide receiver, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. Reports from June minicamp marked Reynolds as the early leader, ahead of Allen Lazard, Arian Smith, Malachi Corley and others. Reynolds apparently has reinforced that notion in the early days of training camp, regularly making plays with the first-team offense. He's 30 years old and has never topped 618 receiving yards in a season, but Reynolds does have 55 NFL starts to his name.

  • Jets' Josh Reynolds: Early lead for No. 2 role

Reynolds showcased impressive chemistry with quarterback Justin Fields at mandatory minicamp and is the early favorite to secure the No. 2 receiver role behind Garrett Wilson, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Reynolds' early rapport with Fields and willingness to contribute as a blocker in the run game have made a good impression on head coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, currently giving him an advantage over Allen Lazard for the top receiver gig behind Wilson. Of course, Glenn and Engstrand seem likely to import something similar to the run-heavy approach deployed during their time together in Detroit, which would be suited to Fields' skill set. That may leave few targets left up for grabs for wideouts other than Wilson, especially with Breece Hall's presence as a capable pass catcher out of the backfield and the addition of rookie second-round TE Mason Taylor. In deeper fantasy formats, locking up the No. 2 role will at least give Reynolds a realistic path to having spike weeks in 2025.

  • Josh Reynolds: Officially released by Jacksonville

The Jaguars officially released Reynolds on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jacksonville officially cut both Reynolds and tight end Evan Engram (shoulder) on Friday, clearing additional cap space before the start of free agency and the legal tampering period next week. Reynolds' release will free up roughly $4.26 million in cap space. The veteran wideout joined the Jaguars as a waiver claim last December, ultimately securing one of five targets for 11 yards across four regular-season appearances with the team.

  • Jaguars' Josh Reynolds: Three targets Week 18

Reynolds secured one of three targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Colts. The 29-year-old operated as Jacksonville's No. 3 wide receiver and caught his first pass since being claimed off waivers from the Broncos in early December, but he had a minor role in the passing game. Reynolds totaled 13 receptions for 194 yards and one touchdown in nine games between Denver and Jacksonville this season. He's under contract for $3.99 million for next season but may not be retained by the Jaguars since that money isn't guaranteed.
